They don't have a policy to rate packaging in which items are shipped. You have a partial recourse if you paid for the shipping, then you can rate S&H low 1-star. Guess what happens when you get FREE SHIPPING - think you strike a deal? Wrong! You'll get your purchase in a crappy package and can't even complain. Can't return it if your item is as described. Eat it.

If a feedback left is other than positive, the giver of such will be eaten up alive on eBay Boards aka Discussion Forums. All the feedbacks can be tracked back to whoever left them. As an Ebay Powerseller for 6 years, I'll say the single piece of criteria used in my decision whether to trust potential bidders was that person's feedback. Now their feedback is without meaning. Consequently, I now feel that I have NO good way to judge the integrity of a bidder, which leaves me with no choice but to get the hell off Ebay for good. The old feedback system worked because it did not discriminate and the bad traders, both buyers and sellers, weeded themselves out. Buh-bye FeePay!

Ebay seller yourtypeonline lied, saying he would ship ASAP. I complained to Paypal, got my money back. I was a buyer only, and not too frequently, so that NON-seller's negative feedback for me (for asking an insurance question - who pays if its lost) left me with a 75% feedback rating! Paypal is classified as a Deposit Broker by the government, and they've tried very hard not to get regulated as a bank. As a Deposit Broker, they don't have to give the interest back to the original owner of the account. Unlike a bank, you are insured, regulated and earning interest. TO KILL EBAY! Try posting listings though ebay's turbolister in bulk with your messages to the buyers. If everyone does this it will be impossible to stop. put at least 100 listings of actual "HOT" items in the titles so buyers can find them easlily. THIS WILL WORK. Just make a throw away account and get ebay's turbolister and start listing. I think there should even a a planned 1 day event for this so it all happens at once and everything crashes! I hate the new feedback system and fee structure, but if people are truly going to have a successful alternative to eBay we need to get behind a single site. It would appear that eBay is out to emplode the company. All these changes are negative and sellers are leaving by the 1000s. They are doing one good thing though. They aren't going to change the new feedback policy because it's the basis of their intent to collect Interest on the monies they HOLD when you use PP and meet certain criteria.

Feedback should be abolished as it's being used as a tool to extort money from the system.

THE CRITERIA:

sellers who have the worst buyer dissatisfaction rates

sellers with less than 100 feedback

sellers who list in certain categories with higher rates of buyer complaints.

It's ALL based on feedback
