Well, calling orthodox religious beliefs that are a part of christian society bigotry is bigotry in itself. How you are describing it is that its wrong to impose your religious beliefs on your children. So is it immoral to want to raise your kids to be like you?

We cannot say whether or not homosexuality IS a sin because a gay person has never come back from heaven nor hell. Therefore, logically, you can't say something is bigotry if you don't know the true answer to the question.

In addition, the reason many christians believe in abstinence and no pleasure for the sake of pleasure is not for no reason. the idea is to be able to to have restraint. in at least Catholicism at least, restraint is a virtue.
