I understand you used a Rode Videomic for this? Was it mounted on a boom pole or was it camera mounted? Brilliant sound - did it also pick up the footsteps of the runners running, or were those added in?

I'm sorry to say I'm actually not sure what kind of mic I used for this, I'll have to go check. My camera (Sony HVR-A1U) came with an external mic, which I mounted on the camera for this film shoot.

However, the first shot with the joggers running toward the camera has fake footsteps in it because during that shot the wind was strong and all you heard was the wind blowing into the mic.

The tracking shot of them (the next shot)is their real footsteps, and I believe all subsequent footsteps were picked up by the mic.

Oh ok great. I'm busy with my first short film (which is also a drama task for school) and have been using a Rode Videomic for that - really great!
