Nicely done sir! The grey highlights in the camo really work with silver trim. Overall a great result. I would agree with some sort of flat clear coat to protect it.
looks great. im going to do it to a 1990 toyota pickup and ive never done it before. its black and i was just wondering what kind of prep i should do to keep the color for a while? and ive got a couple rust spots on the hood, should i just sand it out?
That really looks good! I'm planning on doing the same to my old Ford. And what you did with the critters hidden in the paint gave me a great idea of what to do with the Ford letters on the tailgate!
I'm trying to decide what camo I want now thanks to you, traditional camo, or camo like you've done, I don't like the digital stuff so that's out. I have an unsual candidate for my project...a 1988 Cadillac Brougham. The car is straight but it would take to much to make it look like a proper Cadillac again and it's just not worth it so...it will be a fun car complete with a ranch style bumper, rhino lining for the "padded roof" and everything. It should get some looks when it's done!
I am going to Camo my '94 Nissan Truck. Right now it is spotted with primer and really looks crappy. Thank you for showing the "how to". No one else has taken the time to explain it like you did. Appreciate ya!!!
Hey man, been trying to figure out how to do this! Thank you for putting this out man. Have a little 4x4 Dodge ram 50 and I want to do it. Gonna do your pattern if it's OK? Great video's!!
I'm gonna do an old toyota, Its already flat black. Could I Do the stencil work with green and grey and leavi it black?. Your job really looks professional! Can i spray clear coat or sealer to keep paint from fading?
I would try it on something like cardboard first and see what it looks like. If you like it do it. I like green as a base because I use actual plants and not stencils. If you use stencil the pattern youre spraying will be the color of the paint youre spraying the stencil with, if you use plants the pattern will be the color of the base. Have you seen CAMO 101?
I did not clear coat mine. I'm not sure what it would have done, but I do know a lot of the green is fading out. I'm thinking about doing some freehand branches in it now with brown.
@LtownHHO i did a boat with branches its best to paint brown on then stencil over with the green and then do your stenciling with other colors it looks better.
wow good job!!!!! im an auto body guy. wat i would and im going to do thanks to ur idea is id wet sand it with 600 grit sand paper. then id put a flat finish on it . it will last trust me.
What did you do for prep work? I noticed in 101 that the blue part of the truck was scratched up. How much did you sand it? What grit did you use?

You can use a matte clear coat so you have the protection but not the shine

What the hell is the point of this? This isnt going to blend into anything except a redneck concert's parking lot
nuclearthreat545 1 year ago
@nuclearthreat545 It's to look cool. Not blend in. Even if it was, it wouldn't fool you, it would fool a deer though.

NICE JOB thats a great truck and a sweet paint job. The paint job reminds me of the camo job I did on my Barret 50 cal
