2k8 was better than 2010 in everything except for presentation. I hate that they don't make that game anymore. It was probably one of the best games out at that time. I see its about 3 bucks used on gamestop. I may get it.

If you created a blend of both games....oh my god, I'd probably have to drop out of college. 2k8 is a little more creative. I really love that you can create chants. I've always wanted a game that had that feature. The gameplay for 2k8 is a lot more enjoyable. But I have a hard time playing old video games. NCAA 10 is more up-to-date. Fans and atmosphere is a big part of the game.....although I think they need to do more schools student sections and not just the Top 25. I'd say NCAA 10 > 2k8

Most immersive dynasty mode of any college game. NCAA 11's dynasty is very deep, but still not nearly as good as this one. It's a step in the right direction, though.
i love choops 2k8 and the updated rosters but the old graphics have gootten too old for me. they should make college hoops, add my player, change the graphics to nba 2k11s and change nothing at all and this game would still be perfect

I did hear about some players trying to sue for royalties, but that is not the reason why EA quit making the game. If your reason was correct, there would be no NCAA Football either. Obviously that series is alive and doing very well still though. Bottom line is that EA's basketball series was doing poor in sales and reviews and wasn't a smart business decision to keep producing it each year.

I've been playin CH2K8 a lot lately and I personally enjoy it more than NCAA Bball 10. Graphics wise, NCAA 10 is better but CH2K8's gameplay seems a lot better to me. But they are both really great games!

Both games are great in my opinion, but I kind of prefer NCAA Basketball 10 over this one, due to the presentation and some aspects of the gameplay. Don't get me wrong, I love College Hoops 2K8, but it seems kind of slow, yet still a great game as well.

Presentation goes to EA, but only because it a newer game. Feature and Gameplay goes to 2K8, me and my boy still play 2k8 regular. If you could update the rosters for online play, you would never have to make another College Hoop game again. Maybe just add an update for Team Up play. You cannot compare these two games because there is a two year difference. If EA had not locked up the contract with the college association and 2k had been allowed to also receive permission to also make and release a college basketball game then everyone including EA knows that they would not be able to compete with 2k. EA learned that from comparing nba 10 to nba2k10.
@tevytevrv because if you set substitution to auto, players would be subbed due to their overall grade. if you have someone on the bench who has a higher overall average than one of your players in the starting lineup, that player would be subbed in.
graphics obviously are better for ncaa 10 and had its own unique features, mainly cause its 2 years newer, but 2k sports had better features for dynasty mode: drafting, recruiting, stat simulations, and 2 player dynasty mode.
The presentation is better in NCAA 10 because of ESPN and CBS overlays and commentary...If 2K sports was allowed to make NCAA basketball games, 2K Sports NCAA basketball game would be MUCH BETTER !!....EA SPORTS is AFRAID OF COMPETITION !!..I can't wait until these ridiculous exclusive CONTRACTS ARE OVER !!!

MLB the Show 09 and 10 have the greatest sports experience of any game. The commentary is 100% fluid at all times, slide marks that happen in the 1st inning are still there in the 9th, and you actually have to pay attention to how you play. My point is that Sony should make the next college basketball game.They obviously know something that EA and 2k and Microsoft doesn't when it comes to programming. I wish they would pay the NCAA fee and produce it.
Absolutely huge payoff if it is a successful franchise and if they get guaranteed advertisement at NCAA sporting events. Microsoft can beg for an opportunity to sell to 360 fans.
2k8 was way better than ncaa 2010. The gameplay is terrible, I had to change the sliders around just to have fun with it. 2k8's career mode in Dynasty was Awesome.
ncaa 10 all the way. I had CH2k8, but I traded it in after a couple of weeks. It had good game play, but it felt just like nba 2k and it did not have that college feel to it. That has always been the problem with 2k college games.(including football)
ea's gameplay is garbage as players do pathetic shots that never go in when theres contact and they always pull up for a jumper right in front of the rim, the low post game is terrible btw

Crowd noise in College Hoops 2K8 sounds much more fluid and realistic according to what's happening on the court. The same can be said for the player animations when going up for shots & layups.
Only negatives about CH2K8, is the court looks a bit too small. And the players move too mechanically when dribbling, particularly when the speed button is pressed. Why do the players hunch over when dribbling the ball fast in CH2K8?

@jjdrew2008 The reason 2K sports had to stop making the game was because they lost licensing rights, to the NCAA, the reason EA Sports stopped making their game was because it didn't sell well enough.

I've been playin CH2K8 a lot lately and I personally enjoy it more than NCAA Bball 10. Graphics wise, NCAA 10 is better but CH2K8's gameplay seems a lot better to me. But they are both really great games!

Both games are great in my opinion, but I kind of prefer NCAA Basketball 10 over this one, due to the presentation and some aspects of the gameplay. Don't get me wrong, I love College Hoops 2K8, but it seems kind of slow, yet still a great game as well.

Presentation goes to EA, but only because it a newer game. Feature and Gameplay goes to 2K8, me and my boy still play 2k8 regular. If you could update the rosters for online play, you would never have to make another College Hoop game again. Maybe just add an update for Team Up play. Man, what if they had My Player for College like on NBA 2K10....?? I wouldn't get NO SLEEP!

You cannot compare these two games because there is a two year difference. If EA had not locked up the contract with the college association and 2k had been allowed to also receive permission to also make and release a college basketball game then everyone including EA knows that they would not be able to compete with 2k. EA learned that from comparing nba 10 to nba2k10.

@tevytevrv because if you set substitution to auto, players would be subbed due to their overall grade. if you have someone on the bench who has a higher overall average than one of your players in the starting lineup, that player would be subbed in.

graphics obviously are better for ncaa 10 and had its own unique features, mainly cause its 2 years newer, but 2k sports had better features for dynasty mode: drafting, recruiting, stat simulations, and 2 player dynasty mode.

College Hoops 2k8 is ten times better than NCAA 10. The Dynasty mode of college hoops is amazing. im on my tenth year in Dynasty mode already.

The presentation is better in NCAA 10 because of ESPN and CBS overlays and commentary...If 2K sports was allowed to make NCAA basketball games, 2K Sports NCAA basketball game would be MUCH BETTER !!....EA SPORTS is AFRAID OF COMPETITION !!..I can't wait until these ridiculous exclusive CONTRACTS ARE OVER !!!

@LiLSuH93 Yes! College hoops 2k8 is still the best college game of all time. I am a former college basketball coach and I use it to teach my junior high kids how to play real basketball. The post up at 4:42 is incorrect and that cross court pass at 4:45 would never make it. In 2k8 that ball would be stolen or at least deflected. Go get College Hoops 2k8... it's only $10 used at gamestop.

college hoops 2k8 is amazing. I bought ncaa basketball 2009 last year and my biggest problem is you can only have one dynasty team in one dynasty. My friend and I like to each have a team in one dynasty. Can you have 2+ dynasty teams in one dynasty in NCAA Basketball 2010????????

MLB the Show 09 and 10 have the greatest sports experience of any game. The commentary is 100% fluid at all times, slide marks that happen in the 1st inning are still there in the 9th, and you actually have to pay attention to how you play. My point is that Sony should make the next college basketball game.They obviously know something that EA and 2k and Microsoft doesn't when it comes to programming. I wish they would pay the NCAA fee and produce it.

2k8 was way better than ncaa 2010. The gameplay is terrible, I had to change the sliders around just to have fun with it. 2k8's career mode in Dynasty was Awesome.

ncaa 10 all the way. I had CH2k8, but I traded it in after a couple of weeks. It had good game play, but it felt just like nba 2k and it did not have that college feel to it. That has always been the problem with 2k college games.(including football)

Crowd noise in College Hoops 2K8 sounds much more fluid and realistic according to what's happening on the court. The same can be said for the player animations when going up for shots & layups.
Only negatives about CH2K8, is the court looks a bit too small. And the players move too mechanically when dribbling, particularly when the speed button is pressed. Why do the players hunch over when dribbling the ball fast in CH2K8?
