  • Crack Hoe.......... haha im gonna use that one day

  • If you would replace the 11.730 crystal with one .455 KC more than your transmit Crystal, add a simple BFO , the radio would be a neat 10 meter transceiver.

  • I thought that said Bacon Project ):

  • CB liner is cheap, hams should use them also, it should work well with QRP 5 watts radio, probably work fine in any band below 28 MHz

  • Do you have any video over the president lincoln please ??

  • this is the only way a ham could get out more than a block, usin a cb linear.

  • Rub it on my balls

  • Ten meter AM? Yep.. AM window is from 29.1 to 29.2 megacycles.

  • "Crack-oh" lol

    Kray-coe.

  • Good video BUT it is pronounced KRAY_CO not krack co!

  • Is there much call for 10m AM these days, I noticed the set has a 455IF so why not build a simple FM board and convert it to 10m FM rather than AM...Or better still switchable AM/FM.

  • This is a great video. I love to see people modifying old equipment to give it new life and purpose. It's too bad the ignorant have an opportunity to volley their ridiculous thoughts and comments here. This guy did a nice job, and I don't see any of you other guys doing anything like this. Oh yeah, and sticking a metal screwdriver in a radio is pretty common. That's 20 years of Motorola high level service tech experience talking.....lighten up Francis!!

  • well said, this is a great video and i cant stand people who think they know what they're talking about but really don't.

  • @badczechsum

Hey, modifying even a new CB is the same thing. They just buy re-badged 20+ year old technology they thing is new.

    It's all good.

  • They let people who stick a metal screwdriver inside a rig on to Amateur radio.

Lawd , I think I will stick with 11 Meters LOL

  • first of all it doesn't matter if its off, second, he didn't touch any contacts so its fine, and third, it would be better than him sticking his finger into a circuit board to try to point something out don't you think?

  • hey can u fix my radio like that give me call 956-463-7412

  • by the way simpletons hes doing nothing illegal if hes licensed

hes converting a cb to a 10 meter radio which is perfectly legal if he has a ham license

  • i was going to defend you until i saw you idioticly sticking a metal screw driver in there tapping on thing

  • what's wrong with that? just a friendly harmless poking

  • @OK2BCK

umm its metal and you stuck it inside the radio

if you don't know why i am saying this maybe you shouldn't be doing this stuff

  • Roger Mr. radio police.

Perhaps it's better to touch parts of such a radio with a metal screwdriver than live with your attitude haha

  • Hi, it's pronounced Kr-aye-ko.

    Not Crack-Ho

  • I am not an expert, but 10 meters are part of the hamradio frecuencies or 28 Mg. is not the same, anybody can use a CB radio, but 10 meters are used by Hamradio......................

  • Yes, this is correct. You need a ham license, very easy to get now that you don't need to learn code (CW), to transmit on the 10 meter ham band (28 to 29.7MHz. Without it its just not worth paying the $10,000 FCC fine

  • A $10,000 fine ha ha ha. You couldn't pay thr FCC $10,000 to fine someone for that. Get with the century.

  • Well, go ahead, by all means, break the law. I'm sure the judge may drop the fine down a few K after you cry and whine that you don't have any money.

The FCC doesn't care, they just love to track you guys down with their doppler DF equipment.

  • shut up dumbshit

  • @oltime59 yea cause the fcc really stopped the guys on the channel 6 superbowl droppin the maul on you hams with 10,000+ watts RMS.

  • @oltime59

Why would FCC track down HAM radio operators?

  • @oltime59 What a Retard......LOL

  • I hate to sound stupid but what is a 10 meter conversion ? What is the difference between my standard home base CB and a 10 meter thing ?

I just inhearited my dads old CB Base station and I'd like to Hot Rod it :)

  • 10 meters is the band just above CB. CB is set at 27 Mhz, and 10 meters is 28-29 Mhz.

  • Thanks for the information. The modification is very interesting and useful.

  • Thanks for explaining the way that the signal is keyed.
