  • Cara, eu gostaria muito de aprender kung fu, mas não tenho tanto tempo para treinar fora, entendes? Então, algo a dizer sobre isso? Tem como treinar em casa?

  • @suckername

Obrigado prestando atenção a meu curso. Eu treino o sozinho, geralmente.

  • very good tutorial, I like the slippers, nice touch ;)

  • kung fucker :D

  • @Mascaredoboy

it sure beats being a kung wanker :p

  • wow u can spin it. cheerleaders can do that! u want to test ur skill as a fighter contact me.

  • @jasonironliongreen

Can cheerleaders defeat a mob of angry Ninjas? Well neither can I lol. On another note, this demonstration is almost completely impracical in terms of self defense, except perhaps for creating a startling display that may prevent a brawl. What this twirling technique is good for is building up your coordination and strength in your arms and wrists. If you're in the Oxnard, California area, perhaps we can do some training sometime. What methods do you train in?

  • thank you man,i ave been training on this move , now i can make it spin very fast :)

  • @yasahiro99

    that's excellent :)

    Keep up the training.

  • @yasahiro99 what are u learning to do?

  • @JustDiscoBoy

Thanks for checking it out. The song is called "Warrior's Training." I wrote and composed it myself :)

  • easy :)

  • @SiebzehnUndVier

Thanks for checking it out :)

  • Dude this is INCREDIBLY COOL....when i first saw this tutorial i was like: Oh cool lets try it out....(i taught it will be easy)...i took a stick and started slowly...but it looks like shit :)))......i got it till the part when you switch the sides with the stick....when you bring it from left to right (i mean i can do it but when i try it with more speed i just forget how to raise the end of the stick which is under my arm....thats the problem....some tips would be great ;-)

  • @TheAron961

Thanks for checking out my tutorial. Yeah, it can be tricky when you add speed to the movements. Try to think of the motions in terms of throwing elbow attacks, one on each side. Notice the position of my raised arms at 1:08 to 1:10. When moving quickly, imagine that you're doing diagonally downward elbow attacks, and you should find that it goes more smoothly. The key is practice and familiarization with the movements; speed will come later. Good luck with your training :)

  • thank u so much, plz make more videos

  • @libindraj

Thanks for checking out my tutorial. I'll work on making more in the near future :)

  • Hey nice and cool

  • @HEADSTOMPSPECIALIST

Thank you very much for checking out my tutorial :)

  • hi ive been trying to do that but i can't do it

  • @gemgem74

Keep working on it and I'm sure you'll get it down :)

What aspect or part of the technique are you having trouble with?

  • I'd like to see you actually using this technique in a fight.

Wonder if you can maintain that grip while hitting something harder then air.

  • @Ilamarea

An excellent point; I would never land every strike I'm demonstrating in a fight, unless I was fighting an air monster :p

The purpose of this combination is to train your body to transition into another attack if your first one misses. In martial arts, this could be called a 'flow drill'

  • @karatefox

    Exactly.

But it is allso usefull to scarry off less advanced and expirienced opponents.

  • @Ilamarea

Another excellent point. Assuming that the opponent is in a somewhat reasonable state of mind, and has seen a kung fu movie, if you were to display this attack pattern, it could prevent a confrontation. Thanks for checking out my video, and for brining up these valid points about my technique, and martial arts in general.

  • @karatefox

Yeah, thanks for making that video.

  • Oh my god... I'm trying this :D

  • omg i have a stick o.o YAY

  • Thanx for posting this

  • ok thanks for this, ive learnt the technique....how do u get so much speed, feel like im gona dislocate my shoulders. With other spins i can get more speed but with this grip it is much harder.......

  • Thanks for checking out my video. As far as speed goes, I exercise in such a way to develop what's called fast-twitch muscles, as opposed to slow-twitch muscles. To do this, I'll do fast sets of push-ups and other arm exercises. While I do lift weights as well, I've tended to focus my training more on speed than bulk.

  • you are my god

  • @steeTG

Thanks for checking out my video. Good luck with your training :)

  • Good but, you need a Longer Stick!!

  • thanks for checking out my tutorial, and yeah I could use a longer staff hahaha. But I figure, it's better to train with a shorter stick than to not train at all :)

  • nice video ! u r good

  • That staff is too short dude, is that a bo staff? A chinese staff should be a little taller than the person

  • It's not the size of your staff, mate, it's how you use it lol. But really, you are quite right, a good fighting staff should be a little taller than the fighter. Unfortunately, I've been in short supply of sturdy fighting staves and had to settle with an old broomstick in the mean time. I could really use a good rattan one or a solid oak one...

  • good video but i cant do it..

  • Which part of the technique do you need help with?

  • i got confuse when i switch the stick on the other hand and begun to spin it..

  • The hands alternate their positions based on which side you're attacking from. If you're attacking from the left side, you left hand will be at your hip (knuckles facing left) and your right hand will be up next to your shoulder (knuckles facing you). It's the opposite for attacking from your right side. Try to break down the technique into each of the steps I show in the video; if you try to flow too early, you might get tripped up if you don't have a sturdy foundation of each individual move.

  • i try.. thanks.. master karatefox..

  • No problem :)

I'm not a master yet though haha, just call me Ben.

  • nice

  • Thanks..very good video..

  • ait sweet, thx
