  • Can you please confirm that these are in fact grey in color and not tan/brown. I very much wish to get this but only it it is grey. Thanks!

  • @FPChris These come in grey and brown. You need to specify which one you want when you order.

  • @uarujoey Awesome. Thanks.

  • Been watching a lot of your videos the past few days...really helpful. I just want to comment on one thing that might help out people who do decide to make their own background. Instead of using cement, I used Drylok- a masonry waterproofer with concrete dye mixed in. I've had it in my tank for about 5 months now, and it looks as good as the day I put it in. I got all the foam for free, but it did take about 5 weeks to finish it. I wasn't in a hurry, so it wasn't a big deal, and it was fun!

  • Great video!

    I love you're accent :p

You sound slightly Irish, the way you pronounce certain words, then you go back to a Canadian accent.

    Dublin springs to mind.

  • @Hotlips4000isback Well that makes sense, as i am actually Irish. My heritage is anyways. I have never been to Ireland though. I know i probably sound "Canadian", but i have never been told i sound Irish. Funny you mentioned that.

  • @uarujoey

Ah, yeah i thought so! :)

You really do sound Irish, maybe spending time with family members who sound the same way has rubbed of on you, and the way you speak without realising it without even stepping foot in to the country! :p

    That happens quite allot! :)

  • @uarujoey leave the irish alone lol irish and pround well british lol

  • @scottylad79 Im Irish as well my friend.

  • @uarujoey Its words like "mark" and "out" you can tell, i like the accent too, its very diffrent :)

  • @Hotlips4000isback that is the way proper canadians speak, lol they say things like aboot instead of about. its almost the native canadian twang lol i love it too!

    canada is awesome

  • @jonthedonable

Yeah, i was actually talking to Uarujoey about it when he commented back, and he actually said he has Irish roots, though he has never been there :-)

I assume you are Canadian to?

I have to say, i prefer Canucks to the Yanks! :-p

  • @Hotlips4000isback hey, lol no i am actually scottish, but i have been to canada many times, have family there, i just love the country and the accent. lol

  • Is this background Saltwater/Reef Safe? if so, will corals attach to the background?

  • @strobel65 Absolutely. In a salt water environment, this background would also do fine. The texture is the same as a course rock, so coral would adhere to it with ease. Id love to see one on a saltwater tank!

  • wow... i went too that site, and they wanted over 300 for it, ok i understand. but im not paying that for a background... i can find cheaper...

  • @barrowscasper12 Its well worth it. The one i got was $269. Other styles they have are less. You wont find a cheaper price on Aqua-Terra backgrounds. You may find other brands cheaper, but not Aqua-Terra. You pay for what you get. Some may think its a lot, while others wont. Once you see it in person, you will find that it was well worth the price.

  • @uarujoey well, i guess youre right, but i found out they dont ship outside canada :P so it stops theyre for me i guess :P

  • This is crazy! (in a good way :3) Did you figure this all out on your own?

  • @ninjaofthe9seas For the most part, yes. Although gillsNfins does offer instructions on their website as well.

  • really impressive. gud job buddy \m/

  • @karthicknagarajan Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

  • it expires on my birthday!

  • @vaultboyhunter2077 Well then, you better get one for your birthday! (Happy early Birthday by the way!)

  • @uarujoey thanks! but dont they only ship to canada?

  • @vaultboyhunter2077 Yes, only to canada at this time, as far as i know.

  • @uarujoey aww :(

  • Aw nuts, they only ship within Canada. :(

  • @drumgawd11 Ya, sorry about that!

  • One trick to using concrete is to wash it down with white vinegar. It won't completely solve the problem but it can speed up the process. This applies to concrete ponds as well.

  • @MegaPhoenix07 Very true....

  • I'm addicted to your videos. Very professional

  • @flowboard04 Thank you very much! I have many more coming soon! In fact, taking a break from one now!

  • GUY yo almost cut your arm off at 3:22

  • @ry4nc4rm4n Looks like it... But I was cutting upwards though.

  • overpriced :(

  • @JUNAID187 To some, i suppose it could be. I dont think so at all though.

  • no shipping to US, maybe you can talk them into more shipping offers.

  • @sctoutkast99 This may be an option...

  • I do have one question.

will the background prevent water from skimming from the top of the tank thus leaving a film on top of water over time ?

  • @baldboy123 No, you can drill holes near the top, or simply cut out an overflow. This isn't something i have done to this background at this point, as im not sure what i will be doing for actual standpipes, or water level.

  • Looks great :)

  • @newyorksteelo Thanks!

  • by "provided" do yu mean they gave it to you for promotional purposes or you bought it from them ?

  • great

  • @shumebute Thanks
