@mjguz - Unfortunately, no matter where you go, who you are or what you believe, you will be judged; it's something that people tend to fall into, even (and sometimes especially) Christians who *do* honestly try not to judge unfairly. It matters more to remember that in spite of who we are surrounded by, God Himself surrounds us above and beyond all that with a love that we won't fully understand in this life . . . but that has more power than all the judgments of men!

I was raised in a Christian church and I understand what you are saying and that you believe it. I respect that. However, I think you are a little naive about it. I thought that only here in Brazil there are people with outdated concepts, outdated ideas, and archaic customs. There is nothing excessive in the clothes of Rebecca, alias, underneath your skirt is a blue jeans ... Not simply to understand the views of some people. The spirituality of a person is not measured by your clothes! But by your actions!
God deserves all the glory. I don't t know what she is trying to accomplish here by choosing worship songs. The physical purpose of clothing is that it protects the body against exposure to harmful elements (cold, moisture, sun, etc.). This is important, but it has no spiritual value. The spiritual purpose of clothing has always been to cover the shame of nakedness. If clothing does not serve this purpose, it has no spiritual value at all.

That's some of the problems with videos; it's difficult to understand the acctual atmosphere of the place just through what we see here. Only by being where it happens when it happens can you really tell how the atmosphere is like!

I love Rebecca St. James' performances. I have nothing against her and only God fully knows why He annoints some music and not others but I can say this - Rebecca is a performer not a worshipper at her shows. When I saw her, someone I had never heard of - Vicki Beeching - opened for her and her set was mightily annointed and it was all about the Lord and HIS glory. I am not saying Rebecca or Delerious greived the Spirit but there was no annointing on their music.

i see where ur coming from, but if the lights are on, the distractions are higher, but if its dark, its easier to worship God which is the whole reson why we should go to a concert, not to see how "good looking or how good the person is famously" but yeah its easier to worship God in darkness.
I know If I want to get rid of visual distractions, I just close my eyes. I find the darkness suspect. As a long time partier and club/bar addict, the darkness only signifies one thing for me. Fortunately, each person is accountable alone for their motives and attitudes.

She does worship! In an interview, she says that she does the shows to worship with them, not to just put on a show. She loves to interact with the other worshipers that have come to watch her show, along with worship with her. She said so herself!!

i agree with you kerikez. it is quite performancy which, when the intention is to worship God, isnt really ideal.
however, there is a fine line between making an nice atmoshphere and doing something different and it turning into a performance.

i see where ur coming from, but if the lights are on, the distractions are higher, but if its dark, its easier to worship God which is the whole reson why we should go to a concert, not to see how "good looking or how good the person is famously" but yeah its easier to worship God in darkness.

I know If I want to get rid of visual distractions, I just close my eyes. I find the darkness suspect. As a long time partier and club/bar addict, the darkness only signifies one thing for me. Fortunately, each person is accountable alone for their motives and attitudes.

She does worship! In an interview, she says that she does the shows to worship with them, not to just put on a show. She loves to interact with the other worshipers that have come to watch her show, along with worship with her. She said so herself!!
