Finished reading "And Then There Were None" this morning. Only started reading it a couple of days ago but couldn't stop turning the page over.

I guessed correctly who I thought it was too, though in truth you do start to suspect everybody at different times when you're reading it.

Really wish they'd do a film version with modern actors and the original ending.

Hmm...I looked it up and the original title of the book was indeed "Ten Little Niggers". I never knew that. Our teachers never told us. We even did the play and it was never mentioned. But the original title fits much better and clarifies the book. Well, I suppose someday people won't be allowed to call white people "whitey" or "honky" or "cracker" or "redneck" or "hick". We'll all just have to call each other "Hey, um, you there".

so i typed in 1945's a game of death and this comes up, seems interesting i'll give it a go. Also if anyone knows where i could watch a game of death feel free to share, it's a remake of the 1932's the most dangerous game.

the film ending is the one Christie wrote herself for the 1943 play adaptation.  Less grim, but no less effective I think.

It was an amazing book with a plot everybody is able to understand

@wiiguy145 When the novel originally was released in the United States, the island was called Indian Island, after the nursery rhyme "Ten Little Indians." Recent editions of the book have changed the name to Soldier Island and the nursery rhyme to "Ten Little Soldiers," mostly due to political correctness. But originally the name of the island was Indian Island, just like in the movie. The original name of the island and title of the British version was a lot more vulgar and racist.
