@mthrnaturesson I don't think he's implying that they're 'bookish'. I think it's a matter of not needing to be ostentatious about what you can afford. A giant screen tv is gaudy, an attempt to compensate for other things lacked, like the stone lions in front of a new house.
That's kind of a strange place to cut it off. The clip is already seven minutes long; it should at least go on until the end of the little-girl-at-the-airport bit.
