Question for Obama: he says that illegal immigrants won't take jobs away from black americans...which is true...the question is what will he do about the 2nd and 3rd generations of families of illegal immigrants taking jobs. I've seen this first hand and not only once or twice...please answer.
No one should be treated as nobility; government representation and good jobs should not be "inherited". Also, Never will forget seeing a picture of Columbus discovered America with Native Americans standing in the background. Bottom line: do what is right no matter the color, sex, country mom gave birth in - that is the American way.
Ohio and Pennsylvania did not demonstrate her strength among white voters in general, but it did show that both states are rich in the demographics that make up Clinton's shrinking base. She found a way to exploit the anxieties and ignorance of older white people and blue collar whites in places that have been economically depressed and deeply segregated for decades.
"One of the things that I learned in the school yard was: the folks that are talking tough all the time, they're not always that tough. If you're really tough, you're not always looking to try to start a fight. If you're really tough, sometimes you just walk away. If you're really tough, you just save it for when you really need it," Obama said.
THANKS to all the Barack Obama supporters who came out to vote for Obama in Pennsylvania and throughout the rest of the Country. Your Pennsylvania efforts were not done in vain. Each one of your votes was critical in limiting the Clintons to a meager amount of delegates in P.A.
The Clintons suffered a major defeat as they were only able to beat Obama by 10 points in a State where they were favored by some 20 points just a few weeks ago. GREAT JOB OBAMA SUPPORTERS!
Even when Obama looses you guys still think he won. He may win the nomination but he will not win the presidential election. Millions of Hillary supporters like me will vote McCain over Obama.
OBAMA didn't need to win racist middle PA. It was expected that he wouldn't bring in the most votes there.
But that doesn't matter because OBAMA is still winning the race, and has always been winning. Even more, OBAMA is winning with his class and courage, by being a gentleman all the way through.
Hillary is killing herself because everytime she "attacks" OBAMA, he makes himself look sooo much better with his smooth, positive, honest reactions.
No, the problem with that is that they attack Obama and he defends himself, showing that their arguments are JUST as ridiculous. If they won't cease their attacks, he's gonna have to do something different. And here's the thing: Hillary and McCain are using the exact same arguments. They've allied with each other to push Obama out of the election. He has to show their ridiculousness in any way he can.
The only reason why he ignore the bashing on him is because if he confronted more of his true colors would come out....Yet he can bash Hillary for 15 minutes straight that is different...boo hooo Poor Obama...lol
Obama is full of it, he is just as negative as any other candidate running. It amazes me when I hear some of the rheoteric he espouses with a straight face. You can't have it both ways Barack. You can speak of change and of a new day or shall I say "A brave new world" in politics & claim that you are not playing in this good-old-boys club when every piece of legislation that you have put forth has been in conjunction with republicans. You are their puppet. Wake up my fellow Americans!
Greetings from Finland! Obama could use a slogan like this: Let's Get Fair! I hope he really is for real and not just talk... I hope America is wise enough to choose him.... and I hope he don't get killed because of his integrity.
the question I have is why he didn't speak about this to the people in PA. Instead he spoke to people in San Fransico. That makes no sense. Obama states he can connect to all people yet he should have been speaking to the people of PA. directly not about them. Duh!
Hillary Clinton just said tonight (Tue, April 22nd) on Larry King Live, in response to an email that she was using negative ads when she started declining in polls, "Well, I'm not sure what the public thinks"...you need to seethe whole transcript, but suffice to say, she doesn't really care behind the scenes what the public thinks, but only what will get her elected. Barack Obama DOES care what the public thinks.
I just telling all of you guys. Obama is thinking we are electing PTA president. Hillary for President of the United States of America and world Leader. Hillary is ready and she will be the next United State President. Pennsylvanians are for Hillary.
You Obama fans live in a fantasy world. Just listen to the man for once and you will see what a racist he, his wife, and his pastor are. This man is too scary to be anything but a Senator. I'm afraid you guys will vote him in just because he says "CHANGE" a lot. Pay attention people.
CHANGE! When you had a chance to make change you voted "present" essentially "no comment".
130 TIMES. That way you wouldn't offend anyone. "NO COMMENT" More than any other Senator. Now a promise of change if you get a new office. Your time to rock the boat had come and you stayed on the fence. Fancy speeches don't change your history.
No it is not, idiot. Obama is FINALLY after so many attacks just defendinjg himself, with FACTS, not slandering or twisting of words, like Mcshit and Bitchillary have been doing.
This country of ours is already on the path of healing & uniting because of this wonderful & passionate man. His ablility and strength are just what the doctor ordered!!!
I think it's a natural response from Obama. When you're attacked you must defend yourself and explain things to people. But I've rarely seen that Obama had attacked any candidate first, usually it's the other way around, especially from McCain and Hillary.
If we do not stand up and help this man, what will our lives be like in another 4 years? Barack is able to cut through red tape, sound bites, and smears. Yes, Barack Can. Wow! I would love to have my civil rights and privacy. The constitution must be returned to. No more special interest, corporate law making. We the People, need to impeach the true out-of-touch officials and demand the only laws that remain are representative of We the People!

Learn to recognize truth when you see it!
Having lost hope for this nation in Nov 1999, watching coverage all night as the least qualified bozo in history "won" the election, it brings tears to my eyes to see a transcendant figure to believe in coming forth. If Barack could get in front of every person in America, he'd win in a landslide. In person, his sincerity and forthrightness is projected clearly. I was stunned by seeing him live, because I thought,"Damn, I don't think this guy's full of crap . . WOW!"
You Obama supporteres are fooling yourselves if you think Obama is the answer to this countries problems. This guy scares me. He, his wife, and his pastore of 20 years are racist. All you have to do is listen to his speeches. This guys racist attitude and inexperience are just two reasons he is the wrong guy for this time in our history. I hate to say it but I would be forced to vote McCain if Obama becomes are decocratic nominee.
I support you in whatever you do as well..I agree the bloated overexposed personality needs to go away!! He sux and I really don't think he is black..you know some indians look black...he's an indian with a kink job perm in his hair...He's hiding his indian accent..
He is the closest person to being a people's candidate since FDR. Not only because of way he speaks, but because of the way he has run his campaign. Because he has brought the campagin to the people, for the first time people feel connected to a candidate and
are willing to contribute their $5.00 and $10.00.
I sometimes liken this period in political
history to the 1930s and we may SEE this episode played out between Barack 'FDR' Obama and John 'Herbert Hoover' McCain.
Our economy sucks as it is... maybe Obama can help the average amearican a little better then any other person running... We won't know until the elections over and bush is out of office.
Who prior to this situation, ever used the term "Elitist"? Seriously, what "average", "normal" American used this term prior to hearing/seeing/reading it? Check his record, his background.
Increasing Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security benefits just as the first baby boomers begin to collect said benefits will hurt the economy threefold. In 2003, such spending accounted for 32% of the Federal Govt. payroll. In 2007, it accounted for 35%. The curtailing of such initiatives must occur, or else by 2040 payments of the national deficit interest will account for 100% of federal spending. Vote with your brain and not your heart. Tax cuts and the downsizing of federal government '08.
All these positive comments and high ratings will mean NOTHING unless we vote for Obama. We can no longer depend on the "others" to voice our opinions. We must vote for someone who has integrity, honor, and will return the government to its original charge of "For the people," instead of the McCain and Clinton strategy of "To the people."
Hillary's biggest victory has been to convince the media that they have been too "soft" on Obama. Now they're bending over backwards to make him look bad. On April 11 Chris Matthews reported that Barack had (gasp) turned down a cup of coffee at a diner and ordered orange juice instead. This was given as further "proof" that Obama is an "elitist". Could this get any more ridiculous?
Man that's good to have an American politician who's so firmly opposed to lobbyists. I wouldn't say that lobbyists are the root of all evil, but close enough. They've been running the show for 50 years now. All candidates talk about change but I won't believe any of them but the one who refuses to be the big lobbies' puppet. How can you work for the people when you owe your seat to military contractors or pharmaceutical giants?

Such pessimistic thinking facilitates the perpetuality of our current circumstances. Be positive, dude. It's the only way to actually be better, and live better.
When you acknowledge the problem then you have to do something about it. The fact that Obama accknowledge the problem ,speak about it candidly- illustrate that he cares about what is going on. Meanwhile Clinton is turnning Obama's acknowledgement of the problem into something else.
Obama is the only candidate who is not in the pocket of PACs. Obama is for the people.
The difference, though, is that Ron Paul is a real conservative and Obama is a Socialist. He probably will get us out of Iraq, but at the same time he will surely increase government spending and taxes. It's a shame that the Republican-voting populace chose McCain.
mccain is unrealistic in believing this country can benefit from the same policies of the bush administration.
just because obama anticipates a positive future doesn't mean he's foolish or living in a fantasy. it means he's optimistic and is willing to work toward something better.
the american dream consists of anticipating and working toward a better future and as someone who is living the american dream i can attest to its very real possibility of coming true.
Lol MCcain is old he doesent no what hes talking about. He would love to run against Hillary. He is scared to go up against a young charismatic opponent with unlimited amount of money.
so your saying americans cant have dreams about a better place? hes dreaming this and hes going to achieve it one way or another. as a canadian if obama isnt chosen to become president then America will be looked down by every other country.
Yes, McCain does want to keep things "real". He wants to keep them "real expensive" with a continued multi-trillion dollar deal. He wants to keep it "real dangerous" with a continued war in Iraq. And he wants to keep things "real stagnant" with a third Bush Administration. If that is your kind of reality I prefer a change.
I think you are wrong, the difference between McCain and Obama is that Obama knows what is going on in the world and he has dreams or fantasies (as you said) for the future while McCain lives on a dream and "keep {his} shit real" for the future
It's sad how many people have lost the American dream. What sets us apart from other countries is our idealism. Barack Obama is the American dream. It's un-patriotic to be racist or just submit to someone who want's to be a sheep. There is an america because someone like Obama told England to eat shit. Because there were people who dreamed and had a vision. If we thought they were not "real" there would be no U,S,A.
If Obama lives in a fantasy where do you live? Have you ever thought about the fact that when he was a child (In the 60's) it would have been a joke to suggest that a black man would be president? Some probably would have told him then "Son, you're living in a fantasy". Success stories include "nay, sayers" like yourself telling the "dreamers" that they were crazy to think they could succeed. Remember this: It's those people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world that usually do.
lol...you sound like Hillary a year ago. How will this skinny black guy with no clout and a funny name every even get an audience? lol now he is the leading vote getter in the race now. He has changed politics, has white black, latino and asian behind him in a way never before seen in american politics. Lol, it seemed like a fantasy a year ago didn't it. But hey IIIIII wake up! This is REAL!!
Obama has never said "jobs for everyone" or "no more wars." In fact, Obama has explicitly said that he *doesn't* oppose all wars. Where did you get these quotes from?
You have to dream it and reach for it before you can achieve it. There's nothing wrong with believing that you can change the negative conditions we are in in America. McCain has a different approach but Obama is not living in a fantasy world. The goals that you mentioned earlier are achievable. To hell with that phrase "keeping it real". The reality is that things a fucked up and we have to changed them. Thats the real for people who WANT to change. Wake up sir or maam. OBAMA 08
People are not bitter, they enjoy seeing their jobs go oversees. They hate owning their own home, and love seeing children die in another nation's civil war. John McCain is not elitist at all, He's only worth $44 Million.
It's an insult to information to label Sen. Obama as an elitest; he's spent his entire career fighting for justice, teaching the rule of law, and educating others on how to better themselves. That said, he's not a polished politician; he will make mistakes. Others are just pissed because he's the ONLY candidate that doesn't embrace lobbyists, PACs, and etc. Sen. Obama isn't looking down on anyone; he's just walking tall! Don't b fooled PA; vote CHANGE. Vote for Sen. Obama!!!
No they were only because they were too easy to be 'blown up' by the media and misinterpreted. He wishes he had chosen words that couldn't be misinterpreted by others.
BRILLIANT!!!!!!! I'm glad he brought up the fact that ordinary Americans are funding his campaign and ultimately he's accountable to them!! That's an important point to bring up because Bush and all the others before him have been accountable to oil companies and big corporations! NO MORE!
this guy thinks he's running for the job of a preacher of some kind. he is super smart but his focus is skewed and i dont trust him. i dont like macain or clinton but if he showed more focused agenda we would all like him more
he seems to live in a world of fantasy- sure everybody having a job would be great but in all truth its just not going to happen! He hasn't convinced me, or many others in the UK but out of all the candidates he seems by far the best. Another Clinton may be one too many
Did any1 see Hillary's vids. There are no more than a dozen comments on them. If this is how Clinton's people censor citizens comments now, imagine if she becomes President. Do we need another President that will censor the voice of the average voter?
Did you know part of McCains economic plan is to cut benefits of the elderly who already have a tough time makeing ends meet ? Yet Hillary praises W. McCain over Obama ?
"keep shit real"? you mean like flip-flopping worse than conservatives accused kerry of doing? or like singing bomb iran and saying he is going to continue bushes course in iraq? or do you mean how he admitted he wasnt good with the economy and wont do anything to help it? yeah he keeps shit "real"
I listened, heard nothing. Where are the fresh new ideas? Anyone can speak rhetorical,Please voters listen for leadership, you will not mistake it once you hear it!
If you think like an elitist, you can understand the root of problems and solve it in a logical and intelligent way. Religion has been used to control and convince people that their problems will be solved by god. America needs to wake up and think like Barack Obama(An elitist). The only reason he backed out from his words is because religion is one of the strongest form of politics and no smart politician will challenge that. I really think he meant all of his words.
The feigned "outrage" over all of this is utterly disgraceful. Obama could have chosen his words more carefully, but he was not wrong to suggest that people try to find meaning in other things when their economic stability is threatened or destroyed. Obama has maintained his resolve, honesty and grace, and has earned my vote.
What I can't understand is...Why did Michelle Obama got a 200K raise at her law firm after Barak became a U.S Senator?? Can we say that this is coincidence or something more, how shall I say, reeking of special interest?
Everybody in this country is either on prescription drugs or online gaming or listening to stupid talk radio. nobody I know is going to vote...sure is sad.
this whole thing is blown completly out of proportion. EVERYBODY KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT HE MENT, HE ACTUALLY MISPOKE, he chose the wrong word but the means is people are pissed off with the economic situation that as been going on for 20years and they are pitted to vote against political footballs like gay marriage, 2nd ammendment, or abortion. Those that fall for this bullshit are 'DUMB' can not see farther than the nose on their face.

If he is going to win the presidency, this is exactly the message he must continue to push forward.
Now, is he going to appoint John Edwards as Attorney General? He spent most of his law career fighting the insurance and medical lobbys.
He really makes the most sense to me.
I still believe this country is mostly moral and wants to do the right thing.
I still don't know if it's Obama, but he is at least talking a good game.

We must make the change, US not THEM.

Vote for American Vote for Obama!

It's a shame that the Republican-voting populace chose McCain.

mccain is unrealistic in believing this country can benefit from the same policies of the bush administration.
just because obama anticipates a positive future doesn't mean he's foolish or living in a fantasy. it means he's optimistic and is willing to work toward something better.
the american dream consists of anticipating and working toward a better future and as someone who is living the american dream i can attest to its very real possibility of coming true.
yes we can. obama '08.

so your saying americans cant have dreams about a better place? hes dreaming this and hes going to achieve it one way or another. as a canadian if obama isnt chosen to become president then America will be looked down by every other country.
lolumad24 3 years ago
Yes, McCain does want to keep things "real". He wants to keep them "real expensive" with a continued multi-trillion dollar deal. He wants to keep it "real dangerous" with a continued war in Iraq. And he wants to keep things "real stagnant" with a third Bush Administration. If that is your kind of reality I prefer a change.
Obama '08
mb053085 3 years ago
I think you are wrong, the difference between McCain and Obama is that Obama knows what is going on in the world and he has dreams or fantasies (as you said) for the future while McCain lives on a dream and "keep {his} shit real" for the future

Mccain is an old, stubborn man who will be falling asleep in the White House while the country falls apart.

Remember this: It's those people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world that usually do.

aboynton 3 years ago

Obama!!!
