Not Willowbrook Hosiptal there was a Willowbrook State School For the Mental which include some buildings of the college of staten island they Renovated the buidings and made them part of the College of staten island. the rest of the buildings are in the greenbelt destroyed or abandoned

I have personally worked with the intellectually deficient individuals from Willowbrook for the past 3 years and this video is a disgrace to them. Next time try acting mature and stop the giggling and joking around AND find the right building. Good luck with that by the way bc the main building where these people were kept has been torn down, contrary to what others say, bc it was a biological hazard (despite numerous bleachings they couldnt not remove the smell of feces and urine)

They were put in that facility and basically left to die and thanks to NYSARC and other facilities like it they have been given a second chance. THAT IS NOT WILLOWBROOK. Willowbrook is the college of Staten Island and is very much not abandoned. That is the New York City Farm Colony, a poor house of sorts. I don't know why it was closed, but I guarantee that it was not for sensationalistic reasons. Sorry to disappoint. It is also not scary unless you're a 15 year old girl.

Also google "cropsey" & learn why that area was a scary place for a while even after the mental institution closed, and why it probably has a few scared kids buried.

The Willowbrook Instittion, if you mean the one Geraldo Rivera wrote his expose on, it no longer exists. it was closed, and is now the College of Staten Island. However, if your interested, there IS a row of 2 or 3 one floor buildings near the back of the grounds that are fenced off, and in disrepair, (2 are boarded up, 1 of them is still used I think) which are still owned by the state, and are not part of the college grounds.

(the old CSI, was at the Petrides complex). The building showed in the video above, is one of a series of buildings belonging to the old Seaview hospital which was also an asylum....and also,

This is not the Willowbrook Asylum. This is one of the buildings of the Seaview Hospital.

The Willowbrook Asylum buildings were taken down couple years back and the land is now part of the CSI( College of Staten Island) campus.
