I imagine on their planet they would probably debate about the ethics of eating humans and just trump it by saying that they're more intelligent and thus have a right to eat mankind. If you don't get it is because you have to see the whole episode. The Aliens cured all disease, Famine, and all ills of the human race not to help, but so they could use humans for food! Mr Chambers was tasked to translate the "To serve man" book the aliens brought as a "Gift" to humanity. Unfortunatly he was biased towards the aliens and thought they were here to help. Before he finished translating the book he already had planned to go to the Alien planet, which is what the last scene showed

Just to add to the Twilight Zone/ Naked Gun confusion, there was a Simpson's episode based on the same premise. In the first Simpson's Halloween/ tree house of horror Bart tells of aliens who kidnap them, with a suspiciously similar cookbook.

The tale goes on to show that not all aliens are flesh eating monsters, and not all cookbooks are Kosher!
