  • @FoxBodyMike87 They have a launch control but its not a 2 step. It holds it at one rpm doesn't bounce. Stock evo 8-9 dont have anything. I had to tune a 2 step on my 8.

  • To the haters, IMO If you need the pure driving experience you don't need a Manual Evo, you need a Lotus.

    I've owned Manuals my whole life and brought an 2010 Evo X MR, I honestly think I'm much quicker on the track with SST and despite what the haters say barreling into a corner and tapping the paddles is actually fun though sometimes I do miss the feel of having a Manual.

    I think if you can't appreciate the innovation of Dual Clutch you don't really like cars, it's amazing technology!!!

  • before talking shit, people just should read the description on the mitsubishi site -> evo x mr -> technical data -> tc-sst.

    if they did that then tehy would know that the tc-sst is not an automatic gearbox, but a manual one with two clutches and two rows of gears (even and odd gears).

    its only shifted automatically. but it's not a automatic gearbox. it's more a f1-car gearbox than an automatic one...

  • @NoobsAreUsh All 2008 Evo X in Canada have that bumper cause of strict laws. Once we got the Evo in 2008 and it passed all the tests they brought back the normal bumper for 2009-2010.

  • by rights that should be call a semi-auto not auto, since auto mean it does everything on it own, and semi-auto can be both depend on the driver, and not by changing gears with a clutch paddle. And it just plain stupid to think a car with no clutch paddle then it had to be auto. At the dealers they call it auto because you can drive as one and that boost up extra sales, and it just more simpler to just call it auto.

    skills come from knowing when to change gears not the paddle, but yes less fun

  • Mitsubishi is offering their GSR Evo with the 5-speed manual and the MR is equipped witht the twin clutch sportronic transmission no power change on any its just what you like only difference is the automatic gets one less mile per gallon of gas than the manual transmission

    the more you breath the more you need to let go, once you have bigger turbo you need big exhaust

    but with small turbo, its fine to have big exhaust but not the vice versa

  • @KingAdrock909 You are neither correct nor wrong about the MR. The MR is NOT a automatic nor is it a FULL manual. It's a combination of both. I was merely looking at the MR's transmission from a technological stand point. It's called a "DUEL CLUTCH AUTOMATED MANUAL TRANSMISSION". I understand what you are saying tho. You prefer the traditional car with a clutch. (If there is no clutch, its an auto), got it. But technology is changing man and you need to be up-to-date and less ignorant about it.

    as much as its an automatic with a newly imporved transmission its nonetheless still an auto but alot more controlling over standard auto transmissions for the reason that you can up and downshift on it.

But I guess you believe that automatics and duel clutch are one in the same. If so, you have a right to believe that, but I disagree with that assumption. I understand your argument nevertheless.   • @ReptileKiiNG MR has a fancy tranny on it thats allows u to paddle sshift without a clutch. GSR 5 speed Man. gets 0-60 a econd faster than MR

    MR has alot more Luxures, more electronic features and nicer stock BBS rims for some.

    gsr is cheaper but faster..still an amazingly beautiful car and unlike other cars u pay less for more speed :)

  • @ReptileKiiNG to me evo is the car that would benefit me in a long run because it can handle different type of road conditions. plus it has a great horse power pact inside a small sedan. you know what i mean. im not telling you to get an evo just because you heard great thing from it. there are many other great cars out there that can handle the road like an evo such as subaru, audi,etc. you should really look into what you like the best. think about what fits your personality.

    PS: And as for the exotic cars like Lambo's not having manual, that's outrageous. They offer 6-spd manual as well as the semi-auto. Nonetheless, they must be offered because it is an attribute that can make or break a customer from purchasing - I know it would for me.

F1 is warranted, because that shit is just insane.

    I have seen ppl with a manual car that drives like shit, I also know ppl that switch back to automatic after driving manual for years. Not everyone have the luxury of having multiple cars to satisfy different occasions. It's all about what suits majority of your need and balance it with a little fun. You obviously failed to see that ppl who choose a double clutch gearbox might have personal preference towards ultimate speed than the enjoyment of shifting.

  • @w1ldwolf I have not driven an evo with paddle shifters, but I have driven other cars with it, including the new lexus is350. I don't mind if autos are 0.2 seconds faster, I rather have the fun and thrill than being just a little faster.

  • @lejink - ur smoking crack. aftermarket exhausts are larger thus providing better breathing. the turbo spolls faster. you will have to get the car tuned with an aftermarket exhaust.

  • @pescadero do some research for yourself, aftermarket exhaust on some cars negatively effects the power band. it can cause a decrease in torque at lower rpm.

    this is coming from professional drivers, i am only repeating what they said. so you are arguing with people whos career is knowing cars.

The Evo has one of, if not THE most advanced all-wheel-drive system available today...better than the Haldex, better than Quattro, better than anything. This car, along with all previous Evo iterations, have more potential than nearly anything on the market, especially in this price range.

  • those look more like rota DPT if they're rotas. SVN are like a split 7 spoke design look. Just google it.

  • just count the spokes dude. Rota svn is slipt 7 spoke, which makes it 14 individual spokes. this one is 9 or 10 single spokes. rota svn looks like volk re30- this is more of a ce28n style. I dunno, thats what it looks like to me.
