  • Johnny Mathis kicks butt at the end of this song! The greatest singer this lifetime will ever know... and my idol of all time!

  • @gemeyes2 The Rightous Brothers did this song.

  • This is taken from the 7" 45 single,

  • There are two different versions. From the album, "Me And Mrs. Jones" the album version and then there's the "Quad" album version. Quad was supposed to be the "new" thing in the mid 70's but it never caught on. Quad versions of many albums do indeed sound different, due to mixing for four speakers. I'm not sure if this is the quad version or not. This album was released in a quad mix.

  • love this song, great to hear it again, thanks for posting.

  • Thanks for posting this song, Phil. I played this song on the air back in the 1970's when I worked at an FM radio station. (The format was easy listening MOR - Middle of the Road - type music or what teenagers might call "Muzak music" nowadays.) It's kind of strange, but computer processed music sounds different from music recorded on vinyl records and played through a diamond stylus on a rotating turntable. This recording definitely sounds different from what I remember playing on air.
