  • the elven language is so so captivating. It amazes me that it really is a language; that J.R.R Tolkien created a whole language. It's even better when Liv and Viggo speak it. oh man...

  • 0:36 that stare... seductive.. ;) the music fits very nicely -3

  • The most beautiful love scene in the history of cinematography.

  • beautiful...

  • Most romantic scene in a movie ever.

  • did you know that aragorn and arwen were realted...I mean like cousins? look for elrond and his brother elros and you'll see

  • this is not Enya but Esabel Bayrakdarian

  • CD(TLOTR) 1. The Prophecy 2. Concerning Hobbits 3. The Shadow Of The Past 4. The Treason Of Isengard 5. The Black Rider 6. At The Sign Of The Prancing Pony 7. A Knife In The Dark 8. Flight To The Ford 9. Many Meetings 10. "Aniron (Theme For Aragorn And Arwen)" composed & performed by Enya] 11. The Ring Goes South 12. A Journey In The Dark 13. The Bridge Of Khazad Dum 14. Lothlorien 15. The Great River 16. Amon Hen 17. The Breaking Of The Fellowship 18. May It Be [composed & performed by Enya]
  • @solomia70 you're mistaking with "Evenstar" from the Two Towers, which also a beautiful song ; )

  • @solomia70 Actually this was composed and sung by Enya. Esabel did "Evenstar".

  • Actually, many songs from her Shepherd Moons album would fit quite well in the film... The tittle track would be perfect for Arwen's first scene when she appears in the woods, "Book of Days" is great for the fellowship's scenes of tough travelling, "Marble Halls" would fit in pretty much any scene featuring Arwen... And too bad that Howard Shore didn't use her song "Lothlorien", even though I like the one he composed for the movie.

  • Enya HAD to be in the soundtrack of this film. She is an elf! Her voice, her strikingly beautiful fairy-like look... And her voice reminds me quite a lot of Arwen's.

  • O môr henion i dhû: Ely siriar, êl síla. Ai! Aníron Undómiel. Tiro! Êl eria e môr. I 'lîr en êl luitha 'úren. Ai! Aníron... ('From darkness I understand the night: dreams flow, a star shines. Ah! I desire Evenstar. Look! A star rises out of the darkness. The song of the star enchants my heart. Ah! I desire...' )
  • ....Ai aniron, Undomiel.....

  • Good taste in movies!

  • Yes, it does. I have known such passion only once in my life. You never can leave it behind in your thoughts.

  • I'm a guy but I have to say the beauty of this scene is inspiring, it really strikes deep.

  • in the very best of enya

  • In which album can i find this song please

  • @Lulu19931000 in the fellowship of the ring, i believe.

  • LOTR best movies ever made, anyone who disagrees is a douche without art in their soul.

  • The mind of Tolkien reverberates down through history......

  • This song is so beautiful, almost breathtaking

  • Now i know why Viggo Mortensen was never popular with other movie roles. Because he just IS Aragorn. It´s written all over his face. He fits SO well to this role, that he is ONLY Aragorn, and not any other person. This was the only movie meant for him. And he´s the only Aragorn in the world.

  • @rafahenara, no Viggo Mortensen is simply the best method actor alive. although in a sense you are right, his life freakishly mirrors that of Aragorn, as does his personality, so while this role was probably easier for him that some of the others it's not like he played this role better than any other. It's just that this is the one that got him a lot of attention.

  • People say that french is the most romantic language....that is a lie. Elvish is and forever will be

  • This song could get the manliest man to shed a tear. That's how beautiful it is.

  • @Andabraud ,thats true,im doing it now, rembering a girl I would have given my life for.I think LOTR was as much a love story as it was an adventure epic over good and evil.

  • Man the last second of this video scared the crap out of me. I was listening to this while doing something else and I thought my computer was about to BSOD.

  • does that mean that aragorn is immortal now? or just that she is mortal?

  • @bleujae1 It means that she will become mortal...

  • epitome of romance, it is.

  • (Arwen:) "Renich i lû i erui govannem?

(Aragorn:) "Nauthannem i ned ôl reniannen.

    (Arwen:) "Gwennin in enninath

Ù-arnech in naeth i si celich.

    Renich i beth i pennen?

  • I love this scene. It's very romantic and endearing.

  • Wow!

  • :'(

  • romeo and juliet my ass, this is the rtue epitome of romance!

  • @nossino ya =)

  • @nossino hahahah well said!

  • what a touching moment.....love it

  • omg when i found out they are very very distant cousins. Kinda creeps me out even tho loads of generations between them.

  • only by marige 2

  • The Elven language = GOD

  • @eLaiNe13xXx Hahaha, let's go to a distant place with a wonderfull wife, speak elvish together with her, and bare children which we teach elvish. That would be heaven ^^.

  • I believe Elves kind of have a different look on time. I mean they atually don't really die of old age so unlike humans who have to do everything in a life time they kind of don't need that like humans do making them just live their life and fall inlove once the right person shows up or simply falling inlove by knowing an other elf for years...

I believe Arwen simply just lived a simple life loving her family and friends and fell inlove when Aragorn popped up in her life.

  • Or she just met men like you...

  • Actually she is about 3000 years old.

  • @MrSpoilerMan You're a retard. xD

  • I don't want to believe that she was a virgin about a 3000 years! It's a bad joke with nature. Why, if elves are immortal, there is so few of them? Of course many was killed in the first age by Morgoth forces, but, There was soo much time to make another baby =).

  • I can tell u why

the rest of them sailed to valinor

that's the reason why there are just a few left

but you'e right, they had time ^.^

  • @MrSpoilerMan Elves are described to be very asexual, save for a few times, many years apart when they do get "in the mood" to procreate, then their sexual desire wanes just as fast, for perhaps decades or centuries. Plus, many sailed back to Valinor, few remained behind.

  • I love Enya!!!

  • LOTR rocks!

Mortal life is not for me.

  • how do you get the creases out of your shirt?

  • The song is also called The council of elrond

  • my fav track from the Lord of the Rings

  • ``i choose a mortal life``buhuhhuhuuhuh *so sad*):

  • LMAO!!!!

  • This scene is Amazing, I always cry no matter I already I've seen this a hundred times.

The song of Enya is beautiful.

  • i LOVE this movie, and this song is amazing! does anyone know where to find it without them speaking?

  • This song is on the Soundtrack cd of the movie and Enya is also releasing a CD/DVD next month including a full version of it!

  • Yes!!!!!!. It´s wonderful. One more minute of Aniron. :)

  • In the new Enya Album, "The Very Best of Enya" in stores in november I think ;)

  • Yes.New version of "Aniron" in "The Very Best of Enya" this coming November.

  • November 23, the album will be released

  • its going to be on her new greatest hits album "the very best of enya" which is released in december i think :)

  • hands down this is probably the best song ever made. It is probably the best description of what unrequited love is. I can help but cry when I see this because it is so powerful and uplifting. Truly this is probably and will the best scene in a movie I will ever like to this extent.

  • god the bit when she says

" I'd rather share one lifetime with you, then face all the ages of the world alone" always makes me cry

  • This is the greatest song ever made!..no shit!

  • this THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER MADE I HATE RIPOFFS!

  • what is RIPOFS ?

  • same=]

  • Lord of the rings - is the big farytale, I am adult, but i love it!!! And i love Enya!!!

  • ich liebe diese filme und ich gucke sie immer und immer wieder, sie sind immer noch so schön wie beim ersten mal =)

  • genau wie bei mir :)

  • oh dear god

    i just love this scene

  • Ai! I desire: watch this movie once again...

  • O mór henion i dhû. Ely siriar êl síla. Ai! Aníron Undómiel. Tiro! Êl eria e mór. I'lîr en êl luitha 'uren. Ai! Aníron... From darkness I understand the night. Dreams flow, a star shines. Ah! I desire Evenstar. Look! A star rises out of the darkness. The song of the star enchants my heart. Ah! I desire... How did you get this on YouTube? I put up a music video I made of this song, but they deleted it because of copyright issues.
  • I would rather share one lifetime with you, then face all the ages of this world alone.

It doesn't get much better than that

  • tell me about it!

that quote just tugs at myheart like anything! lol!

    perfection!

  • DOESN'T IT????!!! haha

i can replay it all in my head all day.

just the way she says it...its gorgeous

  • Overwhelmingly beautiful!

  • love the movies and the music also!!

  • brings many tears to my eyes!

  • Incidental romance theme Aniron ("I Desire") written and sung by Enya in this film.

  • Sindarin is such a pretty language.

  • Tolkien's Elvish, invented by a linguistics professor (that's what Tolkien was) is a lot like Finnish.

  • i wish i knew the lyrics so i could sing along!!!

  • The lyrics are on her official website!

  • O môr henion i dhu:

    Ely siriar, êl síla

    Ai! Aníron Undómiel

    Tiro! El eria e môr

I 'lir en êl luitha 'uren

    Ai! Aníron...

  • It's beautiful! I really love it! ^^

  • "Aníron" mean "desire"

  • @enyaaway I believed it meant: I Desire.

  • This is so confusing with all the languages. Didn't Enya sing this song in her own made up language, Loxean?

  • No, enya sing her language "loxian" on her album Amarantine. Loxian is invented by lyricist Roma Ryan. This song is sung in Sindarin, a language invented by Tolkien.

  • i don't think anyone understands how utterly obsessed i am with the lord of the rings. I love the music, the elves, the battles, the mysteries, the enchanted forests, the evil, and the angelic love!!

i love them. i want to be an elf soo bad!!! i wish all of this were true

  • I'd rather be a Hobbit. Seven breakfasts a day - better than your Lembas!

  • haha, but elves are sooo gorgeous. Wouldn't you rather be beautiful than short??? i would!!!!!!

  • You should play Lord of the Rings Online and roll an Elf character. Pretty much the closest you can get to experiencing Elf life in Middle-Earth without actually dressing up like one and flying to New Zealand.

  • hahaha, wow, i've never played that before!!! ima check that out:)

    thanks

  • yaya lvl 36 man warden ftw

  • is that really a language ???? or is that just part of the movie?? if so, what language?? it is beautiful, mysterious and almost haunting!!!!!!

  • SINDARIN, a language invented by Tolkien the creator of Lord of the Rings

  • i kinda want to learn it and speak it

  • elfe language

  • i want a full version one!:)

  • i have full version

    on my 360 =(

  • Do you know where I can find the long version of this song cause in the Soundtrack CD is cut...thanks!

  • Aniron

  • romantic love it =)
