Well I've watched just about everything mortal kombat, this is kinda depressing, not because they die, but because the series dies. Like why do they always have to fuck with awesome mortal kombat stuff? Like rebirth! I wanted to see that movie! And all of a sudden they stopped making Mortal Kombat Legacy and are planning on doing a movie with a few elements from Legacy but it's not Legacy!

The scene that starts at 5:29 with Shao Khan showing Raiden his "little gifts" is the coolest scene EVER in Mortal Kombat. It's actually emotional to see all those fighters being remembered by their murderer.
bit sad now that ive watched all the episodes, wish they continued this. i find it funny how the series ended with a perfect and different ending, its like this was planned. anyways, i enjoyed this, much much more than the actual movies. i also wish taja and siro were a part of the actual mk storyline, ive grown to appreciate them, especially siro, even more than cage and blade. in fact i prefer this trio over kang, blade and cage.
Honestly this series was way better than the movies. Lots of the MK characters were in this which was good and I agree Siro and Taja are better than Cage and Blade. It is sad to see the series end this way after watching all the episodes. But since we never saw Sub Zero die, lets assume he wins overall haha

You all do realize that the Mortal Kombat video game that comes out this April (reboot) follows this Mortal Kombat Conquest story. Shao Kahn defeats the Earth Realm in Mortal Kombat. Raiden then travels to the past to make one last ditch effort with the Earth Realm warriors to end Kahn's reign once and for all. Let's see how this pans out...

@aaopio1979 no it is not like that, in both the reboot and this earthrealm wins Mortal Kombat but the jackass Shao Khan cheats and takes over anyway killing everybody in his way with Sindel (except Raiden), but the Elder Gods stop him and when Raiden defeats him he is enhansed by the Elder Gods, thus Finishing Shao Khan and stopping the Realm Murging.
You have to love a movie that has an ending you dont expect or are used to seeing... got to love asian movie plots they always have a twist in the end or end it completely the opposite... seen and remeber this when i was a teenager, would wonder if this was the last episode guess it is... Let me ask a question for those who believe that Goro killed Kung lao.How can Kung Lao get killed by Goro if He beat Shang Tsung like We seen in the first episode of MKC? and Raiden said in the first movie of MK that Shang Tsung is way more powerfull than Goro!
@rayolazer14453 shang tsung become more powerful than Goro just after he got kung lao soul but before that he is weaker than him that's why he make a deal with Goro..he promise Goro that he will rewards him if he beats kung lao but after he manage to get kung lao soul he became more powerfull than Goro and turn him to his subordinates instead of fulfilling his promise....Goro have no choice but to obey his new master

@rayolazer14453 its not only chan soul...if you see that part clearly you would notice that there is a lot more soul after shang died but they didn't show up as human being like chan they just appear in the blue light...im pretty sure that kung lao is one of them and plus liu kang have no direct with kung lao as chan is so there is no reason for him to appear in front of liu kang and talk to him
Think about it, in reality this proves to be both a rare and perfect ending. Following a stereotypical linear plot-line up to this very point was genius, and then the twist kicks in. The individuality is emphasised through differing itself to the games and films. A great mind trick how it plays on the audience to expect a happy ending, and then turning everything on its head. And ending like this is so rare, because hardly anyone recognises the genius is provides. This is a true classic! 5*
What the hell is with ending? The beginning of the series tied in with both the games and the movies but the last episode? I know the show got canceled but the could have done a better ending then this.
@jon4de they planned to have a second season but the reason it was cancelled was due to episodes costing too much so basically if it was due to poor ratings the show would've only had 13 or so episodes and likely a better ending.

okay, of course mk conquest is the story of the 'great' kung lao's "adventures" and also a prequel of sorts to the first movie. originally, this episode was just a SEASON finale, which means a season 2, but due to production problems, this was sadly the SERIES finale. 'MK rebirth' was a well played out short teaser based on an IDEA/PITCH for a mk movie reboot/remake, nothing more.
I guess this ending kind of makes sense. But I mean The Great Kung Lau was killed by Goro. It would have been cool if they had him in here as the one killing people. But I guess it would have cost to much

The last episode should have been split into a few episodes, in which the fighters actually hold their own not just get butt raped by the Priests. Also how can the Champion of Mortal Kombat lose to some Shadow priests :(.
I really enjoyed this series, I loved the Kung Lao he was a great fighter.
Best ending ever. Really didn't see that coming. All these Shao Kahn's enemies/traitors was effectively killed and even Raiden imprisoned xD Imao what makes series good is unpredictable outcome like that. It's just disappointing to see move and to know that whatever will happen - good guys will win no matter what, all the time. So that's why MK:Conquest is like a real refreshment. Overall quality of this series is quite mediocre, but the way it ends is simply mind-blowing! And it's great! =]

Everything that makes an action show great, was in this. Great stars (and guest stars), great acting, AWSOME fight scenes in every episode, wounderfull story. I loved it, and regret not watching it when it was on TV. :(

I guess if your still interested in knowing, Like everyone else in here said, there was suppose to be a season 2, so this was left with a cliff hanger, and our champion,his allies, and enemies(of course) also were suppose to come back somehow (elder gods,mk medallion??), but production? had gone bad. so the show was cancelled despite being popular. the black hooded guys are the shadow priest and as u can see, they kicked EVERYONE'S ASS with little to no difficulty.

I read in an interview years ago that the plan was to have Omegis do some sort of resurrection spell in series 2 which brought them all back....so obviously this wasn't the ending they wanted. I also heard that the Elder Gods were another possibility but since Omegis is the only one who we don't see die and Shao Kahn doesn't confirm her death, I assume she changes her mind about death and defeats the Shadow Priest that follows her (after all, there was only one).
The company who made mk conquest couldn't get more money for the next season and it cost way to much and they have alot of martial arts people in there. Reptile was a 2 world champion and shang was a kung fu movie star from china. And so the company was bought out by a different company and they company didn't want to continue the series. This piss off alot of fans and im one of them. What i want to know where can i get that ending credit song from its amazing? Anyone know please e-mail me.

It was kinda a let down watching all the "gretest fighters" being killed by shadow priests, And I actually felt sad when he was going through the chest and got to the 3 heroes and announced them all dead :(. O well I'm glad evil prevailed for once.
C'mon guys! That was a really cool end! Surprising and different. But consider this a parallel story to the one that we know, since all the "heroes" die and the Earth succumbs before MK1.

OKAY! This is one of the best plots and successful video games ever and desperatly needs a modern series. With good acting and much marketing I see much potential. and the modern MK plot idea looks awsome! if successful it could spark off interest in a series. MK series and movies= Potential gold mine.
This series was terrible. Period. The acting. Terrible. The fights. Terrible. The plot. Terrible. All of it was utter horse crap. Kung Lao and friends never got any potential fighters (like they were supposed to be doing the entire time) that didn't die by the end of the episode. Khan, and pretty much everyone else, kept sending people one or two at a time to kill Kung Lao, when apparently all he had to do was send a couple shadow priests. TERRIBLE! This series is a waste of time.

@joemastaj There are no Kung Lao with the razor hat in these series, it´s The Great Kung Lao, he existed way before Liu Kang and the Kung Lao we know from the games. They are monks who follow The Great Kung Lao´s teachings. It seems you don´t know the exact story. Ending made no sence really, exept the death of The Great Kung Lao(That was meant to be happen). But on the other side it was a different, and in that way, a good ending, for all those another american crap where all the good guys win.

So, I did watch the whole serie of Conquest. I personally think that after ep 16 the strategic combat really began, so it was a lot of intro. The ending was, well, luckily it's all made up, cause to keep a god between outworld and earthrealm will give Shao Kahn megamomentum. And he figured that out after 22 episodes?Well, I'm at least glad that there is no more room for deception against Shao Kahn, because that was irritating.

@HristoTancaa The plan was to bring the series up to the present time [atleast as far as the MK games timeline is concerned] for the second season. and use more familiar [this is not the Kung Lao of the Mk games but Liu and Kung Lao's ancestor] characters.
Unfortunately TNT who finished the season thought the show was worth the high budget and axed it.

@aaopio1979 no it is not like that, in both the reboot and this earthrealm wins Mortal Kombat but the jackass Shao Khan cheats and takes over anyway killing everybody in his way with Sindel (except Raiden), but the Elder Gods stop him and when Raiden defeats him he is enhansed by the Elder Gods, thus Finishing Shao Khan and stopping the Realm Murging.

@rayolazer14453 its not only chan soul...if you see that part clearly you would notice that there is a lot more soul after shang died but they didn't show up as human being like chan they just appear in the blue light...im pretty sure that kung lao is one of them and plus liu kang have no direct with kung lao as chan is so there is no reason for him to appear in front of liu kang and talk to him

Think about it, in reality this proves to be both a rare and perfect ending. Following a stereotypical linear plot-line up to this very point was genius, and then the twist kicks in. The individuality is emphasised through differing itself to the games and films. A great mind trick how it plays on the audience to expect a happy ending, and then turning everything on its head. And ending like this is so rare, because hardly anyone recognises the genius is provides. This is a true classic! 5*

@jon4de they planned to have a second season but the reason it was cancelled was due to episodes costing too much so basically if it was due to poor ratings the show would've only had 13 or so episodes and likely a better ending.

okay, of course mk conquest is the story of the 'great' kung lao's "adventures" and also a prequel of sorts to the first movie. originally, this episode was just a SEASON finale, which means a season 2, but due to production problems, this was sadly the SERIES finale. 'MK rebirth' was a well played out short teaser based on an IDEA/PITCH for a mk movie reboot/remake, nothing more.
shang died in mk1 'movie' continuity.

For those that don't know, there was suppose to be a second season where the heroes are resurrected somehow. But since the show was canceled, this is what we're left with. In either case, I loved this episode!

The last episode should have been split into a few episodes, in which the fighters actually hold their own not just get butt raped by the Priests. Also how can the Champion of Mortal Kombat lose to some Shadow priests :(.
I really enjoyed this series, I loved the Kung Lao he was a great fighter.

Best ending ever. Really didn't see that coming. All these Shao Kahn's enemies/traitors was effectively killed and even Raiden imprisoned xD Imao what makes series good is unpredictable outcome like that. It's just disappointing to see move and to know that whatever will happen - good guys will win no matter what, all the time. So that's why MK:Conquest is like a real refreshment. Overall quality of this series is quite mediocre, but the way it ends is simply mind-blowing! And it's great! =]

Everything that makes an action show great, was in this. Great stars (and guest stars), great acting, AWSOME fight scenes in every episode, wounderfull story. I loved it, and regret not watching it when it was on TV. :(

I guess if your still interested in knowing, Like everyone else in here said, there was suppose to be a season 2, so this was left with a cliff hanger, and our champion,his allies, and enemies(of course) also were suppose to come back somehow (elder gods,mk medallion??), but production? had gone bad. so the show was cancelled despite being popular. the black hooded guys are the shadow priest and as u can see, they kicked EVERYONE'S ASS with little to no difficulty.

The Kung Lao with the hat is one of two descendants of this Kung Lao (later the Great Kung Lao)... well not in this adaptation ^_^
The 2 Kung Lao's are about 500 years apart.

thk mkfan for taking your time to upload this show, anyway to those who have been watching the show you have to understand that tv show and game series are two different thing, and the reason why the producer end the show this way it make a lot of sense, raiden already told kung lao his life purpose but the whole time he have doubt in his mind, he should of train more fighter and allies to defend earth realm and himself to stay alive until the next mortal kombat.

I read in an interview years ago that the plan was to have Omegis do some sort of resurrection spell in series 2 which brought them all back....so obviously this wasn't the ending they wanted. I also heard that the Elder Gods were another possibility but since Omegis is the only one who we don't see die and Shao Kahn doesn't confirm her death, I assume she changes her mind about death and defeats the Shadow Priest that follows her (after all, there was only one).

The company who made mk conquest couldn't get more money for the next season and it cost way to much and they have alot of martial arts people in there. Reptile was a 2 world champion and shang was a kung fu movie star from china. And so the company was bought out by a different company and they company didn't want to continue the series. This piss off alot of fans and im one of them. What i want to know where can i get that ending credit song from its amazing? Anyone know please e-mail me.

OKAY! This is one of the best plots and successful video games ever and desperatly needs a modern series. With good acting and much marketing I see much potential. and the modern MK plot idea looks awsome! if successful it could spark off interest in a series. MK series and movies= Potential gold mine.

This series was terrible. Period. The acting. Terrible. The fights. Terrible. The plot. Terrible. All of it was utter horse crap. Kung Lao and friends never got any potential fighters (like they were supposed to be doing the entire time) that didn't die by the end of the episode. Khan, and pretty much everyone else, kept sending people one or two at a time to kill Kung Lao, when apparently all he had to do was send a couple shadow priests. TERRIBLE! This series is a waste of time.

@joemastaj There are no Kung Lao with the razor hat in these series, it´s The Great Kung Lao, he existed way before Liu Kang and the Kung Lao we know from the games. They are monks who follow The Great Kung Lao´s teachings. It seems you don´t know the exact story. Ending made no sence really, exept the death of The Great Kung Lao(That was meant to be happen). But on the other side it was a different, and in that way, a good ending, for all those another american crap where all the good guys win.

So, I did watch the whole serie of Conquest. I personally think that after ep 16 the strategic combat really began, so it was a lot of intro. The ending was, well, luckily it's all made up, cause to keep a god between outworld and earthrealm will give Shao Kahn megamomentum. And he figured that out after 22 episodes?Well, I'm at least glad that there is no more room for deception against Shao Kahn, because that was irritating.

@HristoTancaa The plan was to bring the series up to the present time [atleast as far as the MK games timeline is concerned] for the second season. and use more familiar [this is not the Kung Lao of the Mk games but Liu and Kung Lao's ancestor] characters.
Unfortunately TNT who finished the season thought the show was worth the high budget and axed it.
