The one thing I like about Japanese music is that one song can have different meanings... So I don't believe there is an exact meaning to a song, it's just how the listener thinks it it be. Like how a songwriter can choose what a Vocaloids attitude is like.
@jaffas11 I mean like, two completely different meanings owo" Because I know one meaning to this song is about a girl who gets hit by her boyfriend, or another meaning for this song is about a girl who can't reach her goals so she keeps trying to find an easier route around it but keeps failing.
@jaffas11 I think her/his (???) original message was just sharing her opinion on why she liked Japanese music. I personally LOVE japanese music for the exact reason they do, one song can have more than one meaning. Many of the popular songs where I'm from (America), are just about party-ing, drinking, etc. There are amazing songs with true meaning here also, but sadly those don't get the recognition they deserve. I'm sorry if that's not what you meant, its just an opinion.
If you had ever been a Rolling girl, put those thumbs up. Yes, guys too.
This is about a girl who gets bullied at school a lot, and always runs away from her problems. She needs help, but she never accepts it from other people. She is a lonely girl with far-off dreams, a history of "failing", and she wants to stop her breathing. At the end she is comforted by an unknown person.
See, this is my first time hearing it the Miku version cuz i've been listing to it the Kettaro version, and it feels...... Different to hear this version O_O
I'm pretty sure it has more to do with a girl who keeps being rejected, when she goes to confess to the next guy she's certain she'll be rejected again only to be surprised
Well ~ to me,the general meaning of the song is that Miku is trying again and again on something, but she keeps on failing at it,she's losing it from all those mistakes and she wants to stop, but she keeps on trying anyway.
i read from someone else's comment that It's about lonely girl who inflicts wounds on herself. What she means by "Rolling" is that she's putting her life on the line, like rolling die. And everytime she loses (ex. messing up like losing a friend) she inflicts a wound on her self, like cutting herself. This dude finds out what she's doing and tells her to stop, but she avoids it and says "One more time, please just let me roll one more time" like in the chorus.
@CelloxViolin That's certainly an interesting theory. I think we all find our own meaning of this song because we've all had a time just like this. I think by "rolling" she just means carrying on, but she's getting emotionally bruised/scarred in the process so she wants to give up, but someone finds out and shows he cares about her and won't let that happen.
This song is so deep D': I love playing this song on Project Diva :)

I was texting my friend who I liked- I know he doesn't like me now. But I only cried when he said I can tell him anything and he'll listen.

Right.. So you've heard all music, are also a fan of all western genres and you found none of them contain more than one possible message?
The fuck son?
