  • I took this exact same plane B-2840 from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou :)

  • Freedom for Tibet!!

  • You mislabeled the arrival airport. Lin Zhi, Tibet is NOT in China, since China's claim to Tibet is pure, unmitigated BULLSHIT.

  • That was quite a spectacular approach... nice work by the crew. Beautiful quality video. Thanks for sharing, I loved every second of it (as I am an aviation enthusiast myself).

By the way, that wing wasn't so bad. When everything's being taken care of properly, oil and grease picks up dirt. The UA 757 I've flown on a few weeks ago looked worst. :)

  • who unbuckled the seatbelt so early?

  • @sqy391

Lol, a lot of people do that! One time we were holding short while taxiing to the gate when most of the passengers stood up and got their bags.

  • @sqy391 alot of asians in particular Chinese, you maybe surprise as soon as touch down they are out of their seats, on a flight from Beijing to Heathrow onboard Air China passengers unbuckled their seatbealts and got up from their seats the FA had to inform them to sit down and keep hteir seatbealts bulked until the aircraft has come to a complete stuff... in general they are always in a hurry when taking transportation.. i guess racing to see who first gets on and off

  • Welcome to Zombie Land !

  • Brings back memories - flew in about a year ago myself. Thanks for shooting the video!

  • That's a gorgeous approach, among the mountains.

  • people should keep belts untill plane stop completely hahaha

  • Amazing scenery.

  • The approach was spectacular !!!!

This plane is really showing its age by looking at how dirty its wings and flaps are.

How long was this flight ?

  • Umm, I forget. I think it was like 3 hours from Chengdu.

Or maybe the dirty wing is a result of flying through China's dirty air ;P

  • Maybe :)

But most probably that's not the reason.

Because the plane only get the "dirty air" during takeoff and landing , but most of the time they are crusing, and the air up there i suppose its "clean"

  • Yeah I know, just commenting on how you can hardly see the blue sky in big cities like Shanghai or Beijing ;)

  • Air pollution !!

  • Dirty air... maybe. But probably also oil leaks from flaps mechanism , :P

  • no...FS do has this one.. go to avsim

  • Great view of the flaps and airlerons... wonderful scenery! haha, that's quite a dirty wing, for sure... Firm landing to say the least... but it's a short runway so he had to put it down. Great video, 5/5.

  • I love the dirt on the plane, looks genuine. Haha Opps

  • Wow beautiful scenery!

  • GPWS - "CAUTION TERRAIN!"

  • Betty:

Wooop Woop pull up pull up...

    You:

    "OH SHUT UP!!"

  • Nice!!

I am sure this APP is a lot of work in the F/D!

  • Wow! nice scenery!!! really beautiful to see from above!

  • cool vid

  • Is this the airport with the longest runway in the world?

  • No, not even close. Qamdo Bangda Airport (ZUBD) has the longest runway of 5,500 meters.

  • Oh.

  • I think you might be referring to the fact that this is the so-called longest APPROACH (RNAV/RNP) debuted on September 1, 2006. NZ290 is the last fix on the RNAV and it sits directly opposite the runway on the other side of that small lake. So yea, in this case Lin Zhi has the world's longest approach.

  • It'e the longest approach, but not runway length

  • Roger that.
