I guess, lowering the Antenna by a few inch can not effect a more than a Kilo meter range.......anyway, for safety....will perform a range check be we make the actual fly.
I've been thinking of making a small Plastic Adaptor, where I can lower the antenna without destroying anything....I want something that I can put it back to its original condition, just incase I want to sold the unit.

Ellion, you should do a range check before you lower the antenna. See if you have the same range after the mod.

would lowering the antenna shorten the operational range of the transmitter??
