@3droadrunner mmmm I don't agree so much. I much prefer Portisheads 'Dummy' and My Bloody Valentines 'Loveless'. OK Computer is a great rock album no doubt but has been eclipsed by everything that Radiohead has produced since it. Just think of the whole Kid A/Amenesiac recording sessions.
@PkSage89 why? i love this guy. he asks all the questions i want to ask radiohead. apart from being a great interviewer he is a great movie and music reviewer
Yeah the shift from one record to the next is difficult, but this is the real nature of Art. Strangely you would think that with money and a devoted fanbase it would be easier to just ;travel' and record any arrivals you made and everyone would be happy.
Whoever said Dave Fanning looks like Paul Weller has obviously never seen paul Weller up close??
yes, the interviewer makes a few assumptions here and there, and they correct him... "no, no it wasn't like that".. but it ends up engaging them in a real conversation. the way i see it he's not trying to be arrogant, he's just an intuitive person and realized that this angle would work in drawing them out..
I love thom but you can never have too much money theres no such thing what you mean is people with alot of money who don't know how to spend it but even then it's not our right to tell them how to! Sorry thom 2 points lost off you for me still love you though
he did dedicate an entire episode to radiohead (love to see the meeting where he tried to convince the RTE people of letting him do that )
he could have gone in and prasied them to death and asked them the most obvious questions and im sure they wouldnt have responded like they did .
he treats them like equals rather than praising them and they realy respect him for that ...he asks alot of questions others wouldnt dare to ask ... he is really good
@cosmichippoted yeah he's really good..here. his taste in music is generally fuckin awful. for every radiohead interview there's about 10 crap ones with fuckin dido and the coronas. he is a dick...just not in this interview
@Jacob88rOblivion Jacob, Dave Fanning is a highly respected journalist and radio presenter. He researches his material, he's highly educated, very objective and he's well known and has a great reputation with musicians and Irish music fans. Please do your research before you berate someone who has done his. You haven't. Clearly.

Thom Yorke is one wise individual, you only really need to look at the music of the 60's and 70's to understand

Finally a Radiohead interview that is rich and engaged! Instead of a probing journalist against a passive, unestablished-opinion type Thom Yorke.
