This makes me wonder if anybody has tried using sound as part of Abiogenesis experiments. Some of the structures towards the end there looked vaguely cellular to my eyes. Cells that large are unlikely to be the result of abiogenesis, but different frequencies may just form up into small enough cellular structures to work.

@MrDrakkus - yes, but remember a cell is already very complex. what i mean is, you're right to think that way - but it's unlikely that 'by chance' a particular bunch of tones and harmonics are maintained, while also some more sounds occur which'd right away create a cell plus the molecular instructions to make another cell + take from outside itself to grow. taking from outside itself is also how it initially would form though, as a being distinct from its environment.

@MrDrakkus - also it's possible to kinda likely that spores, fungus beings, are earlier types than cells. in any case, think further back - to how water itself for example would be produced by sound, how atoms are produced by sound. eg an H atom regular type, you have a central core and a 'tail' orbiting it, a wave packet with a +ve and an -ve fixing that makes it distinct from its outer environment.

@TheSnyth probably because the water needs some time to adjust to the frequency of the tone and reflect it, and then, humans need some time to see the pattern it creates. music is just a quick succession of different frequencies, doesn't give water enough time to properly adjust and you end up with just a messy surface.
