Looks like Nokia's navi wheel draws its influence from the iPod's clickwheel, the fade in fade out menu from iPhone, gallery animation from coverflow. Application switching from windows mobile.

Its good they're combining different innovations. Its a good phone...a little too big for me. I'd prefer the 6220 Classic

I assume the N78 costs (or will cost) pretty much the same as an N82. That said, I'm not of a fan of either keypads. If I were in the market for a high end N-series, the N95-3 (or N95-4) would be my first choice. Good review though.

Nokia N-series E-series, every-series, are OVER RATED and OVER PRICED. I have purchased and returned the following: N95-3, n95-4, E51, Luna and a 6300. Oh these 5 phones i was probably most satisfied with the cheapest (6300) and actually thats only because i didn't expect much. But when i purchase a phone for $600+ (luna & n95's) i expect a lot more, especially in terms of build & call quality. Anyway, based on prior experience this phone will probably suck too.

To be completely honest my fav was the e51, but the buzzing that you hear in the ear (especially when the Backlight is on) killed it for me. i dont know why no one is noticing this issue. some people are only interested in how a phone looks i guess because all 4 of the e51's i've tried had this issue (last one had a 14/2008 manufacturing date) ...

Nice preview, although I you say the number keys are raised whereas nearly every other hands on says that they're just ridges between the number keys, the keys themselves being flush along with the other buttons.

The numeric buttons are just ridges, you press left, middle or right on a row to hit the correct number/letter.. It is only the pickup/hang-up, Applications key & Softkeys that are flush with the handsets surface.

Ahh ok, that's a bit of a disappointment. Well I'd really need to try it out myself before I could judge, but what's your opinion of the keypad for entering numbers, texting etc? I know it's primarily for multimedia and such but it'd be nice if the keypad was as good as my old phone (6230i)!
