i just bought a new pari of taps that are made for going up on your toes (ie have a split sole) and it's EPIC! every tapper should get them! They're 'Sansha' tap shoes :)

@mayen1990 they vary. Hers are really broken so I can't say for certain- they are probably either Leo Concerto's or they are K360's- I doubt they are miller and ben- but they might even be those. The crisp sound comes from the fact that they are built up- so any brand that does that will sound comparable.

@mayen1990 Most advances tappers will use a Leo's Ultratone or Leo's Concerto clicker (tap), but the shoe may vary. I myself (an advanced tapper) use a Leo's Slip-on shoe (side elastics), with Leo's Ultratone heel and toe clickers.

Yeah, it's interesting - I've done show work before & now I'm just having fun doing the syllabus work but I really can't wait to take it further, because I thought that when I got to 16 (when I would've probably finished the basic tap lessons) that I would have to just end it. Believe it or not, MJ's passing this summer and watching old variety shows (again) in which he tapdanced, inspired me to get with it while I still can. I've alway wanted to but always thought I had to start young. I let go of that thought now and am having the time of my life. I'll never get great, but that's not the point. IYKWIM... ;-) Oh BTW classes are given from a local art centre here in The Hague. Not sure how advanced it will get.

Hey I'm a young tapper, been going for three years and compared to all the other ballet dancers who have been dancing for many years I am the best tapper there, because of my ankle flexibility. You never know what talents could emerge, and the harder you work the better you can become.
