I really like the way Forte uses the shield to stop his dash. I usually only do that when I'm grabbing, but he was using the dash + shield very efficiently as a movement technique.
It seems weird to me that after two previous games, Azen's gameplay would now become so much less diverse. In the previous ones, he was doing all sorts of things. Now, it just seems like he's spacing, then doing a forward smash.
Don't get me wrong - he knows the spacing so well that it seems to work for him, but it seems weird. He reduces his gameplay, and this is the one he loses.
actually, i think this is the first match at least initially he wasn't just one hitting and actually setting up combos (except for the second match which was filled with AA>FPs). He started using more utilt, and yes more fsmash, but i dont think he made his game less diverse.
not to mention that he set himself up for a win pretty well going into the last life
haha, I know but I don't wanna give it away [not at all what you would think and it's not really important...but yeah there's your answer: it's not important nor does it have any particular affect on what happens to MK]
Resetting stale moves. Up-air is his fastest aerial attack, but it's not his best move; at least I think this is why he's doing it, I'm not entirely sure.
Brawl is so bad.

Also, I think he was baiting MK with f-smash spam, and it seemed to work quite well. :)
It's not like Azen couldn't have won though, he just really screwed up the DI at the end. -_-

Azen was brilliant.

Why does Forte use MK's up-aerial everytime he gets knocked away?
Caliberchamp 3 years ago
He's Smash DI'ing.
affinity2412 3 years ago
Nevermind, he's not Smash DI'ing. He may be doing it to get out of hit stun quickly.
