Matrices - Determinants

I didn't know it was necessary to use a matrix of full rank (I'm considering doing some videos of my own like this)... I just though if you use a square matrix without full rank the determinant is 0... but it still HAS a determinant? Did I miss something?

@cr1901 Yes thats right determinant will be 0 so in a wierd way it doesnt have one sort of. You are right. :)
