It's kind of baffling I wonder what type of ego does it require to commission very detailed replicas of living humans for a wed reception?!! I mean the amount that they would spend for their replicas is more than enough to feed the poors Oh God this is why I never understand extremely rich ppl and their superfluousness. Hope my boss and the bridezilla won't read this..lol :-SS
Hi, could you please advise me on how to make life-sized wedding couple sculptures using dummy? My boss is asking me to use fondant to cover the dummy and they must look exactly like the couple..each and every detail!! What do I have to use to support the dummy sculptures? Thanks :)
@dindaster You would carve the styrofoam with a hot styro cutting tool. But the artistic portion is not something that can be advised. It takes a natural artistic talent and years to perfect in icing or fondant.
@CakeSuppliesPlus thanks so much for the advise but I dont even have a hot styro cutting tool at the moment. My boss is a penny pinching type of person that I will have to go buy the tool myself. Yea, definitely it's true, but she(my boss) is expecting too much while underpaying me (and my other colleagues) This isnt good for our morale..but seems like she would never realize that!

@dindaster Several of the large sculptures we do are for publicity (for a large corporation) or have even been a surprise for the recipient.
