Hi, great playing, can you tell me is the backing track in the keyboard or do you download it, or do you pre-record it?

i think he used something called "ACMP" ... i dont even know what it stands for but i have it on my old yamaha keyboard.. what it does is, whenever u use a low bass note, or a combination of them, three notes are actually played. when u combine this with using one of the "styles" (or beats) then it'll play a loop based off of those three notes. as you can see in this video, when he changes combinations of low notes, the "back track" changes too

Thanks, great explanation. I'm thinking of buying a keyboard but worry about getting stuck with the 'onboard sounds'. I've seen software for sale like RealStrat to load onto a pc, but don't know how easy it is to change from the pc sound to the onboard sound while still playing, do you know if you can switch the pc based sound on & off from the keyboard (instrument)? Thx

roland sounds are better than Yamaha for my mind, although these super articulation sounds are very very clever.

Roland do great pianos/keys and strings. Yamahas wind instruments and guitars sound very flush on this keyboard but the drums sound pretty general midi.

I'm using the Hard Rock style built into the Tyros2. And there's no harmony on the guitar, it's the panel voice "Guitar Hero".

I'm using the style "Hard Rock" in the Pop and Rock section, and the guitar is just the panel voice "Guitar Hero". No harmony effects on it, just a little reverb I think.

You might be able to get one of these babies with 3500-4000 euros (around 5,500 dollars).

Where did your pricing come from? Mine came from my local music store for around £1900 = 2800Euro = $3800.

One more thing. You can get same piano from Roland bit cheaper but it sounds much better. If you want you can also get much more expensive synth from Roland but it's only professional use. Nobody needs synths like these at home or semi professional stage. Korg is king at the moment of synths. They just sound the best.
