  • @MusicalMophead

One of my tunes from my Compleat Angler CD.

    Paul

  • @guitbrett how AWESOME is that? An artist that REPLIES to comments of his channel watchers! NOBODY DOES THAT! excellent work! i've watched this vid like 12 times already.

  • @guitbrett and i posted it on my facebook for my friends to see.

  • This is great.

  • Thats awesome man. Im very impressed. I just got rid of my double neck because it was electric.. I really want an acoustic one. Any chance you would know how much a decent double neck acoustic would cost?

  • @guitarplayingcat

    @evb4mvp

This was hand made for me by Steve Jones and Colin Kendall. I designed it with the necks closer together than normal double necks, which makes the transition between the two necks easier. It's also basically a parlour size. You can google Colin Kendall's web site for information on his guitars.

    Paul

    Paul

  • wow thats some magnificent playing!

  • pretty cool.

  • double guitar..... it's so BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

  • ai... um dos melhores videos que já vi.. de uma sensibilidade enorme.. poarabens camarada... muitocelta este som... celta blues folk pode ser? abraços... very nice

  • dude this sounds irish

  • You transition between the two necks perfectly sir

  • I think it's not really open G minor, it's something else

  • Actually It seems to be something close to F minor, I got C-F-C-F-G#-C

  • @kibadanghi That's because it's tuned a few tones down so it's softer on the bridge

  • This should have millions of views! Not cool! :(

Beautiful, natural playing Paul. Just brilliant!

  • I can't believe this video have 60943 visitors and not some millions O_O

what tuning are your majesty using?

  • @sonymaniaco

    Open Gminor on both necks

    Paul

  • Very nice, smooth transitions and nice melodies

  • Wonderful!!!

  • Wow amazing. It sounds like a bluesy medieval song!

  • sounds kinda like a hardstyle techno song i've heard. just the main beat of it.

  • Excuse me, where can I possibly find this tab ?

  • I love it! Great guitar by the Way!

  • You really gotta LOVE tuning a guitar to get one of those!!!!!!!!!! I have a 1976 6 string (F-40-SB) and a 1975 12 string (FX-212-NT) Guild - and there is just a lot of tuning!!!!!! But once they are in tune - nothing is sweeter - for about 2 songs!!!!!!!!!! Too scared to get auto-tuners!!!!!!!

  • Che forte!

  • t's marvelous ! .-)

  • Quite a big, full sound from a small-scale guitar.

  • guys!! give some respect :D

  • That was pretty good, first time I see someone actually playing one of these good.

  • Sounds like Howlin Wolf tuned to Dadgad.

  • @sharrer2

    It's not dadgad tuning !

  • Nicely done sir.

  • Stupidly bad ass!

  • best guitaist ever?

    Paul

  • wow, no one asked the tunnings. ??

  • Open Gm a tone down from concert . It settles around Fm in reality on both necks.

  • i want it.... thts the perfect double neck...

  • Now thats good Sir:-)Listen to Giltrap;-)

  • What a wonderful dude!

  • it is also easier to tap on a 6 string the 12 string has a more beautiful tone than the 6 string

  • what does he need the 12 string guitar for? they both sound the same so it feels kind of more like a show-off

  • uhh you can definitely tell the difference between the 2, you would have to be musically incompetent to not hear it

  • 1) because its cool

    2) you can completely hear the difference!

    3) have you not heard of artistic license?

  • cool

  • This guy used to run a shop called "All kinds of everything" I bought like 6 swords from this guy! Now he's on the council. Master musician though

  • Thanks Ekthelon 117 - except for the Council bit. Do you honestly think I would liase with such a bunch of parasitical wankers !

  • Is there any chance to get tab of this song? I would really like to play in, but i don't have the skill to learn it from video...

  • I'm working on it, but at present, I only have the full orchestration in music form, not solo guitar music/tabs.

  • I'm looking forward to It :).

  • i'm looking forwad for it!

  • I'd also like some tabs for this. This comment is about a month old apparently, have you had a chance to get it made yet? If so, please tell me where I can find it. Thanks.

  • 12 echos and sounds like a homanicha lol

  • i think he's irish or sumthin...i can look at him an tell and by how that song sounds

  • it does sound irish

  • wow.....that was.....i got no words but applauses....AMAZING!!!!

  • THATS SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you have double neck to be able to use a 6 and 12 string in the same song

  • Yes

  • ***APPLAUSE***

    That's just incredible.

Did you write that? It's very original.

  • Yes, it's one of my instrumentals. It's featured throughout my "Songs from the Compleat Angler" CD

    Paul

  • awesome. I like the bluesy roots at 0:24

  • Great music,Paul!

  • One neck is a 12 string.

  • Who thought of a 12-string guitar?

  • I don't know, it has a long history. Look it up on Wikipedia. But it has a very different sound, listen to it when he plays. It's good for some parts, like in Wanted Dead or Alive. :)

  • @GalacticCollision oh rly ?

  • @Architect1914 Hah. I completely forgot about this video until I got the message that someone responded to me. I think I was telling someone why it was 18 and not 12 strings total, but I didn't click on them. I dunno. Thanks for bringing me back to the awesome video though!

  • the point of a guitar with multi necks is to make you want to be a better guitarist.

  • wow...i am amazed

    your a legend

  • this makes me wanna quit playing guitar.. lol your good as fuck

  • Hand made by Jones - Kendall Guitars (UK)

  • you gotta order them i believe or just go to a guitar shop and special request one.

  • gua juga bisa

  • Nice!!

  • 5/5 and favorited.

    Epic playing and song.

  • Brilliant.

  • I had no idea you could get a two neck accoustic guitar. Nice. Does anyone Know where I could get one?

  • Not just a double guitar, it's a combination of a 6 and a 12 string guitar...never knew such a thing existed.

    Crazy shit.

  • awsome song, and beautiful guitar

  • lmfaowjo

  • sounds like the guitar is singing. I can't really explain what I mean...

  • they have this guitar on ebay right now i seen it

  • Hi ganjaking,

Look again my friend. There is only one Steve Jones/Paul Brett hand made double neck in the world. You may have seen a double neck on ebay but it's not this one !

  • amazing sound!

  • you gatta be carful with the kind 12 string you by..if you sell out and get a cheaper one they tend to sound more crunchy and stealy lol if thats a word.

but if you get a nice one they sound amazing

  • love the natural harmonic tones from your instrument.

  • This is a great sounding song! I'm thinking about delving into 12 string. I've been using a 6 string acoustic for years now.

  • great sound.. did you write it?.. it's one of those songs that works great just played simple and raw.. keep it up!

  • One of my own pieces. Experimenting with movement between necks within the same piece.

    thanks,

    Paul

  • if you had an electric version you could do double tapping on the necks

  • What's the difference between playing a double like that? I mean the sound that comes out is still the same isn't it? It's still the same like one at a time, not like at the same time...or anything....it's quite like a gimmick really...unless someone can explain to me what's special abt this...

  • Nothing special at all, it's really easy, try it !

  • The sounds of one neck are still resonating to their own frequency while the other neck is being played giving it a special sound you won't get in other instrument.

  • yah . there's like having 12 sympathetic strings on a 6 string or 6 sympathetic strings on a 12 string .

    sounds beautiful !

  • awesome playing and guitar bet its a bitch 2 restring tho lol

  • Wow cool guitar.

  • that was awesome, you do a great job on guitar!

  • u r awsome i just got in to playing acoustic about half a year ago i love it and i brought a 12 string but i find itpretty hard to play lol. u r really good .

  • Dig it!Brilliant,Hypnotic! What tuning are You using.

  • Open Gm. Down a tone in pitch, so effectively it is Fm, but this is more to accomodate the 12 string. Works fine for 6 string in Open Gm.

    Paul

  • wat make is ure guitar

  • Hand made by Steve Jones, UK Luthier.

  • holy *beep* did you compose all of that?? its very impressive, even if you didnt, thats some killer playing, i wish i had a guitar like that now.

  • Hi Thomas,

Yes, it's one of my pieces. I'm working on mre at present to include some vocals. Just trying to perfect a technique of working easily between both necks and play as cleanly and melodically as possible.

    thanks,

    Paul

  • wow, very well done, it still sounds great to me. keep it up. :)

  • Great playing. I wonder how much string tension there is on that guitar though?

  • No tension. Guitar is tuned down a tone in Gm.

Bridge is supported underneath as well. Guitar made by UK Luthier Steve Jones to my design.

    Paul

  • Great... 5 stars !

  • Great playing man - are there some tabs out?

  • Thanks mate, no tabs yet i'm afraid.

  • This is amazing like Jimmy Page's Triple Guitar, bottem, 6 string guitar, on top of that is a 12 string guitar & on top of that is a Mandolin.

  • i want a guitar like that, this is really cool, i like your style, and i need a guitar like that, where'd you get it and how much?

  • Guitar was hand made by UK Luthier Steve Jones

  • very VERY cool - i gotta get a copy of the DVD...

    great composition too!

  • wow. i wish i had the right hand technique that you had. its very impressive to see you do it on a 6 string, then you move up to a 12, but the song is also very very very good too.

  • What song is this? I crave it, it's absolutely brilliant! Excellent playing aswell, sir! :)

  • It's one of my own tunes called 'Double Trouble'. Thanks for your kind comments.

    Paul Brett

  • its the first time i see a 7 string acoustic guitar

    thats really cool
