  • there is no sword history in Korea.

all they have is just Kimchi.

  • @AKIZO1118

The truth, Kimch propagated from Japan in the Korea invasion by Toyotomi hideyoshi.

  • @ekarorin

    Are you a japanese?

    I haven't known that pact.

What do you think what koreans have?

  • Comment removed

  • @ekarorin That's not true. Kimchi was not from Japan. Japanese people have always looked down on Koreans for eating Kimchi in the past and they hated the smell of it. Only recently Japanese started to manufacture Kimuchi and developing their own recipe, then they started claiming origin. Japanese claim of Kimuchi origin is a marketing ploy.

  • Liers!

  • Japs always try to fxxx korea with strange logics. With their logic, american hamburger is german food

  • @stamplim

Americans don't say that German hamburger is from American hamburger. But Korean say that Japanese samurai and kendo are from Korea. Americans are not liers, but Koreans are liers.

  • @expedition60 The tradition of Harikari, Proving loyalty by suicide is believed to be originated from Baekjae. Americans do say Hamburger origin is America. Kendo is from Korea but that's from the dinosaur age. Korean Kumdo is developed from using Korean swords distinctively different than samurai swords, very modern and don't have a long history. Kendo is a sport version of Japanese sword art. Japan was in stone age while rest of Asia was in bronze age. Koreans had iron swords at bronze age.

  • @stamplim Origin of Hamburger is still a debated subject much like pizza. Of you ask 100 historians from Italy about the origin of pizza you will get 100 different answers.

  • Why in the world would you introduce this as " Korean Kendo",

IF Korea introduced Kendo to Japan?

Wouldn't you call it with Korean name ONLY and not add anything Japanese ?

    nothing they do make sense.

  • Comment removed

  • Kendo / Kumdo

    Manga / Manhwa

    Pocky / Pepero

    Pokemon / Powermon

    Original / Copy

    Japan / Korea

  • Things got confusing once the two styles were modernized into sports. Japan was first to develop their sword technique into a sport. They had the economic means to do such things because during the time kendo was being modernized, korea was still a very struggling developing country, while japan already had a stable economy and was a fully developed country. Their firm foundation in the establishment of their sport combined with the head start in manufacturing and development of equipment

  • simply made it easier for koreans to just use kendo equipment for their practices. A korean traditional sword was straight anyways, so just using the shinai was fine as is. As a result, they also began adopting kendo sport standards. This is why the two look so similar today, and is also why koreans are blamed for "stealing" kendo. Japanese people, just be proud that koreans are borrowing your developments for modern martial art practices, and Koreans, admit that today's kumdo is not 100% korean

  • The use of "do" came as a result of japanese occupation. Japanese people, u should be proud we used ur culture for out sport instead of trolling. Kumdo and kendo mean the same thing. Their principalities are the same as well. However, they were developed differently. But in essence, the basic form of striking with a sword will be similar in all two hand sword styles. However, these two styles were very different in advanced forms.

  • fricken ignorant nationalists in both korea and japan

  • why gooks play kendo??? kumdo? kumdo? kumdo?????????

  • faking origin? how can you be so shameless?

Kendo is from Japan, not Korea. Sword art was introduced by Koreans??

There is no document that says it was introduced by Koreans.

    Another one of Korean lies?

ugh, so shameless... didn't you Koreans lose in court? and admitted you fabricated stories about the origin of Kendo in court? why keep lying?

  • To all of you doing Kumdo in U.S.A.

Kumdo is stupid sports in imitation of Japanese old KENdo of Korea.

Please stop it immediately if you learn Komdo now.

And I suggest to learn KENdo.

"KEN" of "KENdo" is a meaning called the swords, and "the DO" is a meaning called the ways.

"kum" of Kumdo does not have a meaning at all.

Japanese Bushido and keen mind is included in "KENdo".

There is mind to respect the enemy even if it is an enemy.

Please learn "KENdo" if I want to train true Bushido mind.

  • korea = losers who pretend to be winner and shout it out loud

  • Those Korean practitioners are admirable for they know the value of kendo beyond what is seen except for that idiot so called master instructor who still stupidly believes that kendo is from korea.

  • feke@korea

    uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • 日本もかつてパクリをしてきた時代があったけど、「起源」まで奪ったりしなかったよね。

  • this is fake of japanese KENDO

  • fuck korea

  • Don't steal Japanese culture.. it's just disgusting.

Or are they learning Japanese culture?

Anyways they should create something Original.

  • Hahahaha, what the crap, Korea? :P Next you'll be saying Musashi was actually Korean, he just went for a holiday to Japan and they didn't let him leave :P

  • 花朗?LOL

  • Korea should stop lying and stop stealing.

  • @FallenLightx

You don't get even my point. Look at the style they use. That's ok that u can apply for ur people, but there is the thing(s) u show the fucking mistake. U ugly human don't even give the credit to the original, but use another person(Egypt) to show stupid original. I've never heard about this marital art in Egypt. Stop showing your dump ass idea.

  • @FukcVV Look it up on Google. Sansha. Muay Tai and this is different.

  • @FallenLightx

I think I'm wasting your time with you. Your reasons are useless and don't make any sense. I feel like I've talking with an alien cuz every single answers of u is not like human being.

  • Koreans!! Preserving your culture is fine!! Just make sure it is yours to begin with!!

  • Historical materials to prove that a Korean did not do martial arts.

「武芸図譜通誌" (the end of 18th century)

Our country does not have the martial arts than ancient times.

The martial arts of the sentry are only bows.

    "懲毖録" (the 17th century)

In our country, there are 100 generals.

However, the general who can train a soldier has nobody.

  • @FukcVV Every country has their martial art that involves fists and legs. Maybe you copied ours? No. I'm pretty sure we have longer history than your stupid country.

  • @FallenLightx "Every country has their martial art that involves fists and legs."

No. Koreans didn't have skills of sword fighting, skills of spear fighting, or unarmed martial art until Japan's annexation. Koreans had only skills of archery.

  • @HaedongKumdoIsaLie Oh really? Then how did they fight melee? Think before you speak, you dumb fuck. How did the soldiers train without any skils of fighting?

  • @FallenLightx hey, what the fuck are you doing here? come and hit me. wuss.

  • @FallenLightx 武藝圖譜通志Muye Dobo Tongji (1790) : Comprehensive Illustrated Manual of Martial Arts in Korea .

  • @FallenLightx The sword technique of Korea came from China.

  • @enushisama Everything evolves. Koreans made it better.

  • @enushisama Koreans made it better for themselves and Japanese people made it better for themselves as well. Japanese people perferred swords than bow unlike koreans.

  • @FallenLightx

Long history? How come the dog of China like Korea have long history? All Korean culture are from China and Japan. Your have received too much wrong education.

  • @FukcVV Try to declare war on us, you stupid bich. We have 4 million soldiers ready for battle and you guys only have 1 million. Come at get us.

  • @FallenLightx

You can't change the history. Korean is hated around the world. Do u understand?

  • fuck korean

    korea kingdom of shit

  • Fuc* Korean. You steal every culture from the other countries idiot shit.

  • Kumdo my ass. I'm Thai.

    This is obviously Japanese Kendo.

  • I'm Thai...S.Korean stolen our "Mouy Thai" as well....I 'm hate S.Korean....

    I love you Japaneses.

  • you know...

At first I don't really understand how Japan feel when Korea stole their culture.

But now that they try to steal Muay Thai(I'm Thai) I fully understand why you hate their gut so much.

And above all the thing. They rename Muay Thai as Kyuktooki.

In Thai it can pronounce as...

    Kyuk = penis

    too = rub, lady boy

    ki = shit, ball

.... I must admit Korea got talent to piss people off.

  • @Labped READ THE FUCKING DESCRIPTION IT SAYS KOREAN STYLE OF KENDO KNOW AS KUMDO YOU MOTHER FUCKER.

  • @FallenLightx

In addition, You'd better know who help South Korea in Korean war by sending the solider.

  • @FukcVV You Japanese? You guys barely sent any soldiers during the Korean War, all you did was selling weapons to us.

  • @FallenLightx

I'm not Nipponjin. I'm from Isan like Baukaw and Tony Jaa. Korean is the best liar in the world.

  • @FukcVV Talk when you stop using our products. You guys are just jealous.

  • @FallenLightx

Using ur product ??? I never use ur product lol. Why are we jealous of yours ? You are just the best copier of the world hahaha. Poor Korea have no true culture.

  • @FallenLightx

Opps. Let me tell you 1 thing. If this Gumdo video is Korean style, why did they wear Japanese customs ?

    So FAKE!!!

  • @FukcVV Look at the clothings very closely.... They are different. Ofc they will be similar because we had cultural exchange from thousands of years ago. How old are you?

  • @FukcVV Also we gave education and knowledge to Jap monkeys when they were naked.

  • @FallenLightx

I am Japanese. Thailand is a great nation. Because Thailand had never become a colony.

Moreover, there is The King in Thailand now.

  • @enushisama Here we go, another Jap monkey, thinking hes superior and better than any other asian race. Just shut the fuck up.

  • @FallenLightx

The only Asian race that think they are the best is KOREAN!!! Japanese basically respect other people around the world, but Korean basically like to insult poorer countries and show how fucking intelligence they are. Nobody love Korean like you.

  • @FukcVV Really? Then why are we helping other nations develop? Hm? Why are we donating millions and trillions of dollars to you people.

  • @FallenLightx

Say something after returning all the money you are borrowing from Japan.

  • @AdmiralTogo1 Say something after returning all the souls you killed.

  • @FallenLightx

What are u talking about? What did you donate to Thai? What have Korea helped other countries? reply me and don't lie.

  • @FukcVV Samsung Electronics Co. is making a $1 million donation today to United Way Capital Area, money the nonprofit will use to expand its initiatives in early education for underprivileged children.

  • @FallenLightx

So you are. You don't even know who I am. You don't even answer my question. I said I from Isan like Baukaw, the famous kick boxing of the world, and Tony Jaa, the famous action actor. You can't even separate Thailand and Taiwan. Thailand is South East Asian country that sent the troops to help South Korea in Korean war, was they? Taiwan is East Asian Island country like Japan. What you answer me is just Samsung's advantage about business.

  • @FukcVV Okay, I'm getting tired of this shit. Can we all stop shitty battle and be friends? Everyone copies and nobodys perfect. I'm sorry.

  • @FukcVV South Korea to invite Taiwan to participate in procurement activities, machinery and textile products.

  • @FallenLightx Don't boast of your petty aids. Do you know Taiwanese raised the world's largest donation (20 billion yen) for the victims of the recent earthquake in Japan? Tell me what did you do for us? Just barked over Takeshima? Taiwanese were the same "victims" of the Japanese imperial rule. But unlike Koreans, they never hate us. Rather they are loving (?) us. They never steal Japanese cultures. What makes Taiwanese and Koreans so different? I know you know.

  • @milonganuova I will never do anything for Japan. Why would we? Hm? Give me a good reason. You stole our culture, considering the fact that we gave you people education and culture hundreds of years ago. We transformed you people from naked monkeys to civilized monkeys.

  • @FallenLightx "considering the fact that we gave you people education and culture hundreds of years ago"

LOL There were only four elementary schools in Korea before the Japan's annexation. The Japan's government constructed other schools or even the Seoul University, and offered decent education to Koreans. You don't know history well.

  • @FallenLightx "We transformed you people from naked monkeys to civilized monkeys."

You Koreans were kind of what it was like, before the Japan's annexation.

    /watch?v=wq3PpeMbfrY

  • @milonganuova Did you know that you guys invited BakJae architects to build your silly temples and monuments?

  • @FallenLightx "BakJae"

Why do you stick to Baekje? Both Baekje and Shilla were under Japanese control in ancient times. If I were you, I'd be ashamed as one Korean that the people of Korean Peninsula were dominated by its neighboring country even in ancient times.

  • @HaedongKumdoIsaLie What the fuck are you talking about? They were never in under Japanese control.

  • @HaedongKumdoIsaLie Give me a proof.

  • @HaedongKumdoIsaLie I cannot find any evidence of Japan controlling Baekje and Shilla. Go fuck yourself, I'm pretty sure that you heard that from your fucking Jap monkeys. I study about Korea in United States and MY teacher is fucking American and hes not Japanese or Korean.

  • @FallenLightx

三国史記 reads Silla and Paekche sent the royal families to Japan as "hostages".

This descriptions can be found in 三国史記, which is the oldest historical record in existence in Korea.

  • @HaedongKumdoIsaLie Yes, but that doesn't mean that they were under control of Japan.

  • @FallenLightx

The next one is from 三国史記, too. 新羅本紀 in 三国史記 reads: "脱解本多婆那國所生也. 其國在倭國東北一千里." It clearly says 脱解 who is the 4th King of Silla was Japanese. As for the royal family tree, the 9th 伐休, the 10th 奈解, the 11th 助賁, the 12th 沾解, the 14th 儒礼, the 15th 基臨, the 16th 訖解, they all turn out to be of Japanese descent.

Also the record says "瓠公者未詳其族姓, 本倭人. 初以瓠繋腰, 度海而来. 故称瓠公." It means that Shilla's Prime Minister too was Japanese. In a word, Silla's people were a subject tribe under the Japanese.

  • @HaedongKumdoIsaLie

I think you are wasting your time with FallenLightx, an idiot Korean. FallenLightx won't be able to talk like normal human. His single answer is just bullshit.

  • @FukcVV

Yeah, all his stories are baseless. Just his fabrication.

  • @Labped talk when your country becomes wealthy and inteligent enough to match South Korea.

  • @FallenLightx

Korean is really intelligent about copying and stealing culture, isn't it ?

  • Korea originally loves Japan, that's why they have been stealing many Japanese cultures since WWⅡwas over.

  • Korean SUCK!!!! and FAKE!!!

Everything from Korean are fake including their face

They cannot live with their original face because it's very ugly so they have to do plastic surgery.

  • japanese women are ugly as fuck that's why they went to rape women in korea cus they can't get ass. Japanese are disformed because they're government secretly feeds them dolphin meat instead of whale meat which is more expensive than dolphin meat. They're trying to rip off they're own country. Dolphins have a high percentage if mercury which is poison. That's why they're babies are deformed and that's why they go nuked by america! Stupid motherfuckers!

Gumdo is a Korean of KENDO reading.

And the KENDO historically has the origin in Japan.

They're basically praising the shit out of the art and no one ever talks about it originating from Korea. NOT ONE PERSON SAYS THAT. Get it out of your heads that Koreans are "stealing" this shit. Mr. Park talks about the benefits of learning kumdo/kendo whatever you want to call it nowadays; and by the way, he's not saying its NOT HARD. What he said is "geuruhke himdeulji anayo" which means its not that strenuous (probably an answer to the interviewer who must've exclaimed how energetic it looked) The female student explains how she thinks it isn't IMPOSSIBLE for

"Ilbon eh suh Byeolmyung hae suh Spochu dweh yuh (fades out)" Means anything from "In Japan it became synonymous to main event sports" or "In Japan it is another word for Sport" which could be, again, a statement of changing times. "Sonmok Muhri Huri man jal chimyeun dweneundae" Means "The key is hitting the three points: Wrist, Head and waist"

  • Holy shit! Bad Translation alert! He does NOT say that Koreans invented Kumdo/Kendo! He's only stating a few things. First thing he says is "Ilbon kumdo neun eeruke) which means "Japanese Kendo is like this" then he states "Bungmyeungi uri kal ee numoo ilbon euro numuh gahjigo" Which means "Certainly, our sword went too Japanese" (could be a statement about Japanese influence in the Korean sword arts).

And you can't tell me in jap schools, teachers try to cover up the atrocities about WWII and how they slaughtered millions of Chinese and Koreans for your shameless greed and not to mention " The raping videos of Nanking atrocities." So, just be proud and keep ranting about your fake existence and your hypocritical behavior from..

  • Comment removed

  • @mrpahjun Unfortunately, Korea was Japan about a hundred years ago. Why did Japanese people slaughter her own citizens? What is the merit of doing it? Probably your knowledge was taught by your teachers and parents. But the knowledge in textbook is not always true and often exaggerated. Because politicians use them as the propaganda for diplomacy. ...but, aren't your comment relevant to this discussion? You are not good at getting the point.

  • @centraltheorem, Modern Korean martial art, subakdo derived from gwonbup, not subak. Japs are no different in claiming originality in Martial Art and the developement of modern style creation of curved swords!!! Which all originated from Chinese combative hand to hand fighting. I never said Koreans created the first existence of martial art or created the curved swords, but for me to belive that Japs martial art and jap swords had no influence in the developement of their own combat forms is...

  • Comment removed

  • @mrpahjun It is nonsense to discuss about the origin of sword because ancient people could easily come up with sword-like thing. So to speak, the origin of sword is everywhere. It was natural that ancient people living in Japan islands also devise sword, and they gradually develop katana making method. The history is evidenced by many historical documents. And we have more htan hundred thousand of the historical swords. Can you show a historical record to make Korean curvarture sword?

  • @mrpahjun I don't care the origin of curved sword. There are many curved sword in the world. BUT, the curved swords Koreans used now are Japanese swords, and Koreans label "Korean" on them. Please don't misunderstand my point. Why do you make me say the same thing a number of times? In addition, Korean traditional curved sword doesn't look like samurai swords.

  • @centraltheorem2076

Actually Korean swords do look similar, but only the more recent ones, difference is that Koreans swords don't go through the folding process and are typically a bit longer and thicker.

  • @DtorBillAgain, In modern times,After Joseon Dynasty, Subak no longer existed. The empty-handed fighting material found in the Muyedobotongji is called gwonbeop (권법). Gwonbeop derived from chinese "quanfa" which is also known as "kenpo" in Japan. In Korea the indigenous arts of self defense (taekkyon) combined with other fighting principles (Northern and Southern Chinese Kung Fu) and moral guidelines such as the philosophy of Taoism, Lao Tzu, and Confucius.

  • @mrpahjun Do you know the meaning of karate? Kara-te means empty-hand. And, taekwondo was created by the influence of karate. But Koreans don't want admit the fact. Traditionally, Japanese like "do" (way) such as bushido (way of samurai), kendo (way of sword), judo (way of gentleness), karatedo (way of empty hands), kado (way of flower), sado (way of tea), and so on. On the other hand, there is no such a tradition in Korea. Why is "do" used in taekwondo (way of kick and punch).

  • @centraltheorem, The word Sonbae is translated to mean "a man of virtue who never retreats from a fight", and is a member of the warrior corps. Those who were members of the Sonbae lived in groups and learned archery, Kakju (ancestor of ssireum) and Subak (ancestor of taekkyon), history, literature, and other liberal arts. Although they were constantly training in combat, during peace time they helped construct roads and fortresses, assisted after natural disasters and so on.

  • @DtorBillAgain, Obviously, You two have no idea about the history of Martial Art in itself and how it began. You people are a true hypocrite in discrediting our own years of history! During the Goguryeo dynasty, 37 BC – 668 subak (empty-handed fighting), swordsmanship, spear-fighting and horse riding were practiced. Subak is a style that utilizes hand strikes, kicks, jointlocks, and throws. The mountainous terrain of Goguryeo have conformed to strengthen their legs and later formed Taekwondo..

  • @mrpahjun That comment sounds from a brainwashed guy... In my case I don't see anime or Japanese movies but I study history, culture and traditions of different Asian countries not taking fake-sources into account and believe me... S.Korea is creating a FAKE trying to hide its culture and roots (what a sad attitude, really). Kendo is JAPANESE and gumdo-kumdo's origin is KENDO, believe or not. Stop being brainwashed and try to avoid your educational system, it teaches fake-history-culture.

  • @DtorBillAgain

Yeah... you are actually right, check this out: Occupation of Korea by Japanese-> Destroy Korean Sword Martial Arts doctrines-> Forces Koreans to learn Japanese Kendo-> Gumdo is pretty much kendo style, differences are present but they are minimal. Its origins are from fucking Japan.

  • @DtorBillAgain i completely agree with that statement, i hate when people try to hate on kendo and say that the japanese stole korean culture (not saying the japanese didnt do some fucked up shit, which they did) but kumdo is based off of kendo but just using some of traditional korean swordsmanship techniques. this is also coming from someone who practices kumdo

  • @DtorBillAgain As if the typically Japanese armor pads, helmets, Shinai, footwork, techniques.... need I say more? Stick to your damned Taekyun and Muye instead of taking credit for Kendo - it's like saying the YiJinJing originated in the Philippines.

  • @DtorBillAgain

Seems like you are brain washed too. You have no clue how this developed.

  • Stop your bullish lies by erasing thousands of years of history. You're obviously not a historian nor your contradiction in originating curved swords of human evolution. Arabian knights used curved swords and used combative forms of fighting, but not exactly used as terms of martial art. You're an idiot and a ashame to your ancestors for discrediting and looking down on other races.

  • @mrpahjun Your comments were totally irrelavant. So they were neglected. But your toughness is wonderful. Please use the toughness for appealing Korian original things to the world. But you must study hard history beforehand. My point is that Koreans are now looked down by Japanese and Chinese because Koreans are telling untruth. You are a great patriot. Can you leave the situation untouched? To overcome the situation, Koreans must value their own cultures and other countrys' cultures.

  • Samurai swords called chokuto were used before the eighth century and had single edge straight blades. During the eighth century curved blades were introduced that were easier to unsheath, initially being curved only at the tang Dynasty and later developing into fully curved swords

  • @centraltheorem, You really are a pathetic hypocrite to believe Japan owns or superiority over any sort of sword development or in martial art. Japan, dont glorify one race because of what you see in animes or movies. Throughout history of modernization frrom every race and Japan was no exception to the development of.....

  • @centraltheorem, My true influence in my life is mainly Korean culture and the country that I live in which is the US and many influences in European history. You dumb piece of shit! We're your forefathers and also Chinese inhibitors of your island! Hahahaha! This piece of shit thinks everybody owes japs something. "Go Fuck yourself and get back into your black van and never show your ugly face here again!" And uneducated old fool!

  • @mrpahjun Japanese people do not say anythning if Korean people admits Japanese influences in their sword styles. But Korean people claims the originality of kendo and other Japanese martial arts. Let me say again, there has been no martial art developed in Korea except archery. You should find the real Korean culture. I want you to feel proud of Korean beautiful cultures. You live in USA? You may travel to Korea.

  • @centraltheorem2076 Take care with guys like 'mrpahjun', the absurd brainwashing creating by a corrupt educational system makes them insult you if you don't agree with them. The gumdo has its origin in Japan (Kendo) even if they dont' want to accept it. One of the reasons to invent history and culture in S.Korea is the absent of own culture, it's like a complex of inferiority. If you don't have anything, lie and then, for sure, there are a lot of people who will believe you.

  • @DtorBillAgain Thank you! I felt very easy after reading your comment. In deed, I don't like to communicate with 'mrpahjun'. But, if I ceased to talk to him, Korean people would continue to upload untrue videos and tell untruth. Japanese people are generally shy and not good at English very much, although many Japanese people are angry at such Koreans. So, I cannot stop writing to him as a representative of Japan.

  • @centraltheorem2076 What a curious thing, I start feeling the same since I'm receiving hundred of comments/month against me (calling me 'monkey jap'). The problem is, I know a lot of Asian countries, I live between several of them several months ago since many years ago and I know no just culture but traditions, obsessions and even details impossible to believe if you don't see them.. I feel so sad when some of my S.Korean friends get mad at me when I say 'I like Japan'.

  • @DtorBillAgain Generally speaking, Korean people don't like Japan and China because of sad history. Korea had been conquered and controled by Japan and China many times. Now Japanese people are hated by Koreans. Even my wife was insulted by a stranger in S. Korea. But you can find many good points in Korea, although I can understand that you were got angry by Koreans by saying such a thing :-D
