You must have ALOT of musical background and experience if you can do this by EAR! I have done a few things by ear but only a few of them came out succesfully

:-P Thanks a lot! Yeah, I've been playing trumpet for about 12 years through school so I've been quite familiar with various music techniques and how to listen to things lol. Being able to do songs by ear takes practice, so don't get discouraged if you try a bunch of times and it doesn't work out. Try to focus and listen closely to all the parts and chords. Try memorizing small snippets of parts, hum them to yourself, and then match the sounds in MPC (if that's what you were referring to lol).

I use a sequencer program called garageband

I think ill get better at it with practice.

OH yes. Had them for about 4 years I think. Temporarily played worse after I got them on but since I kept on playing and practicing I got back to where I was. Then when the time came to get them off I was freaking out because an important concert I was a part of with my jazz band was coming up and I thought I wasn't going to be able to play... But then magically I automatically started playing better when I got them off lol. It was amazing!
