i have the same problem wiyh you. after a year i buy my MBP, i got red vertical line who actually oin same location as like as you. then i claim my guarantee. but, after a year the line is comeback again. :(
I have a macbook thats about two years old, and when I turned it on today I had these kind of lines in different colors all over the right side of my screen! They are permanent and wont disappear no matter what, anyone who can explain or help?

@iSchoolUniversity There is no quick fix, as far as I know. You could try "massaging" the stuck pixels, sometimes it works. Usually when a whole line is stuck, most likely the screen is defective.

I've got the same problem in my windows 7 .... but the line in mine is red.
it once got fixed by the technician ....4 months later has came back :o(

I've got the same on a macbook pro '17 late 2008 model. But the line disapears very quick over here. Very strange...

@37prime Yep, this is the second tme I noticed, it's when I close/open my MBP. But you guys have it all the time? Is this also in bootcamp?

@Staronicfilm This particular MacBook Pro does have a defective screen, it is not related to the OS. I could see the red line when it's booting up.

I have a white MacBook and it is exactly the same. Let me know if you find a fix for this.
