As a Buddhist I know I should be more compassionate to the feelings and beliefs of others but I am also human so I know I have my faults. I am diametrically opposed to the delusional belief in a god in general and to Christianity in particular. It's personal with me from what the Christian 'community' represented to me growing up (which was hardly what you could call Christian) to what they want to do now which is deny me my rights as a person and a citizen based solely on my sexuality.
That being said though it is not to say Christianity and Buddhism by themselves have to be incompatible and at odds. Check out the book 'Living Buddha, Living Christ' by Thich Nhat Han, a Vietnamese Buddhist monk nominated by Martin Luther King in 1968 for the Nobel Peace Prize. Again, to me this is personal my feelings toward god beliefs, I'm sure I would like you as a person and would enjoy your company, playing guitar or perhaps espousing at length our beliefs over some good wine or Sake.
