  • my guinea pigs live outside and i hate when people say that can't just like u, i live in Australia and it's fine, in summer it's to hot to keep them inside anyway

  • @australiancavylover Yeah, thats exactly right, it seems ridiculous to keep them inside when the weather is perfectly fine for them to be outside in anyway, and atleast theyre getting fresh air and grass. This is actually an old video now, and I no longer have these guinea pigs. Ive made a new video on my new channel if you want to check it out, its called "New Zealand Guinea Pigs" and my channel name is "kiwipigs". Let me know what you think.

  • @enil0rac awwww i looked at ur video, ur g-pigs are soo cute!!! i love the one it's like a peruvian? x Himalayan are you going to make more vids? cuz i subbed

  • @DomoTheAngryBrownie I hate ignorant comments like that. Why shouldnt I be keeping my guinea pigs outside? I live in New Zealand (southern hemisphere) where the temperature is fine to keep animals outside most of the year round. So now can you tell me why they shouldnt be living outside in a healthy, natural environment with pleanty of space?

  • They are so tiny and cute awhh :)

  • you shouldn't be keeping ur piggies outside

  • mine just had her's yesterday, how long after and u hold them and will the mom kill them if you get there sent on them?

  • @Sundown90731 No she wont I member when My guinea pig liz had hers I held them when she finished cleaning them and she was fine with it so yea there is no time limit u have to wait for(: Hope I made sense aha

  • @Sundown90731 I have never had any problems with the mother abandoning/ eating her offspring after I have held them when they are still young. When they are born it is best to give the mother as much space as you can, but after the babies are clean etc, they are fine to handle in small amounts.

  • i love gpigs! this vid is so adorable!

  • my guinea pig is going to have babys soooon

  • hoe the hell do u dislike a vid like dis

  • they rrr so cuttttttttttttttttttteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Awww, can remember my little Misty when she had her babies 3 weeks ago. Very cute babies =D

  • There appears to be a big wart on your left hand.

  • @BiggaNitch Fyi it was melanoma which I had cut out over a year ago. Thankyou NiggaBitch for being so observant.

  • @enil0rac Oh ok, and you're welcome! Good to see you're better!!

  • @enil0rac nice comeback

  • AWWW, CAN I HAVE ONELOL SOOO CUTE AND SMALL!!!!!!

  • Aww they are so cute! We adopted a female guinea pig in May....and four days later, she had two babies lol!! I am totally in love with those two baby piggies (both are girls) and we ended up keeping them. I was shocked at how developed they were at birth.....full of fur and eating solids! It was wild to see! I love those babies (and their mama! lol)

  • Where do live? Here in southern Ontario the summers would get way too hot to keep the guinea pigs outside and the winters too cold.

  • @atworkguy I live in New Zealand, the temperature and weather is quite temperate, so it doesnt get deadly hot in the summer or icy cold in the winter- its quite consistent . Its quite safe to keep pets outside in hutches all year round. The majority of small animals are kept in outdoor hutches in New Zealand, and were quite lucky to have such temperate weather. There is little risk of them dying from the heat or cold.

    Thanks

  • @enil0rac Nice! I am so jealous. Here in my area of Canada we have temps that reach 40c with humidity in the summer and in the winter it could get as cold -15. So my pigs are inside. They are happy and have a huge pen. But I do wish I could keep them in a hutch.

  • @atworkguy Haha thanks. Aww thats too bad. You could always take them outside for a few hrs on cool days couldnt you? But Im sure theyre doing just as well inside anyway :)

  • she might reject them but shes nown they for a day and aldready toke care of them so she might or might not

  • @crazyspidermonkey2 The mother took to them very well and had no problem after I had handled them etc. She did not reject them or anything similar.

  • Will they run when u pick them up?

  • @harmany281 No, they didnt run away when I went to pick them up.

  • nice litlle cage set up

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • they are so small and cute they are smaller than their mom

  • hahahhaaa ate its own baby hahahahahahhahahaaa LOL ur on crack!!!

  • hey that 1st 1 that he picked up was exactly the same coler as my baby guinea pig, but toooooooooooo bad that i had 2 give them back 2 the store :(

  • but if there 1 day old you shouldnt pick them up most of the time the mother will reject them I'm not being mean. It's that my oldest sister is a vet and she told me this. But they are realy cute

  • Just like everything there are always 2 opinions for everything, I'v read that you can pick them up as soon as they are born and some people say wait a few days. My guinea pig just had babies today and I picked them up and right now they are all cuddling in the corner. So just from personal experience I don't see any problems

  • sooo cute

  • Are they born with their eyes open?

  • Yeah, they are born really mature compared to other rodents. The babies in this photo could be a day old. I believe they can eat solid food within the first 3 days of being born. It's pretty cool.

I think I read somewhere it is like a human have a 5 year old kid.

They are pregnant for a long time too.

  • @brickwing yes they are i know because i had gini pig babies too

  • @brickwing Yes they are.

  • @brickwing totally, and teeth, and claws, and fur, they are completely formed

  • @118animal7 they are the equivelant to a six week old rabbit when newborn

  • thats cute than mine

  • i think its amazing that they are born with hair and they are rodents.

  • @RapsodyRecordsNJ They can also see when they're born too!

  • cute guinea pigs

  • your guinea pigs are really cute!

  • i got a mom and 2 babies, but the mom is pregnant again...

  • Uh oh .....

  • ai have 1 guinea pig they are cute

  • @agentti1112 you really should have more than one guinea pig. They are social animals. If one is a male be sure to get a female. Please ask me if you have any questions.

  • actually, if you buy a male, you arent supposed to get a female unless you want to breed them...if you just want 2 get 2males or 2females

  • we have two males introduced at like 2 weeks after each other evrione keeps telling me they'l fight but they haven't so far will they?

  • ohh the pigs are very big

my guinea pigs were very smaler than yours

  • panda looks like my poppy that just had her babies! they was born yesterday. feel free 2 c my vid if u like. xx

  • omg, i want a guinea pig again :( and want it have babys :D

  • Comment removed

  • guinea pigs are not like rabbits. I have breed guinea pigs for 8 years and I have never heard of a mother eating its babies.

Guinea pigs can be handled from a very young age as they are born with their eyes open and fur. For this and other reasons, it is safe to handle a baby guinea pig from a very young age.

  • i agree i hav held one and their alot more maternal than other small animals

  • So you can basically own a guinea pig when it's been born recently?

  • So they can be adopted even a few days after they are born??

  • Guinea pigs can be held after they r born...

and it actually is a good thing that u do that because then they wont b afraid to be held.

  • thats untrue. If the owner has a good relationship with the mother thn she wont reject the babies if u touch them

  • what do you do when it gets cold? o rdoes it? i want one!!!

  • um they live in the shed in a c&c cage in the winter because they are likely to develop pneumonia or basicly die of the cold.

I live in NZ so I dont think moving them inside where I live is entirely necessary because it doesnt get THAT cold in the winter and my guineapigs are pretty hardy , but I do just out of precaution anyway. But yes, in the summer they live in hutches outside- the one in the video is an old hutch( their new hutch is probably 5 times the size)

  • hows the daddy

  • I want one

  • i have a 6 week old baby named peanut she is cute and is light tan and wight with alittle dark brown

  • aww, your piggies are so cute!!!im gettin guinea pigs soon, on saturday probz!(fingers crossed)

  • my guinea pig gave birth to a beautful little boy yesterday

  • I used to have a guinea pig but it died.

    They are sooooo cute!

  • I aM getting one on Christmas i want a black one and name trixs.

  • they are so cute!!! But you should not keep them out side. You should really not keep any of your guinea pigs out side (unless you out there for a second and they are not on the ground) because they could get mites. Mine did & it was a hard process to get him better.

  • say hi to your guinni pigs

  • No, as long as you have a place for shelter and it's a shady place with lots of water. Mine are housed inside, i'd be too nervous with them outside.

  • its illegal to house them outside.
