Donnie, can you say UNCONSTITUTIONAL? All you are doing with that attitude is contributing to the stereotype of the southern redneck sheriff who wants to pull people over for any reason, real or imagined, and harass them because they look out of place. With that kind of rhetoric, I'd have to say that this stereotype definitely has a grain of truth to it. You are not doing yourself any favors with that attitude, especially in the context of law enforcement. We've already got enough of you yahoos.
Next time you talk with Donnie, why don't you ask him why he won't sign the federal forms to allow law abiding Wake County citizens to legally own class 3 firearms? (rifles with a barrel less than 16", sound suppressors, and full autos). These weapons are all legal at the federal level and at the state level, but the required Federal Tax Stamp depends on the local county Sheriff's approval. Other sheriffs in NC do it after the person passes a thorough background check.

I plan to vote for you Tom, but you should KNOW the constitution and stand up for it when you see elected officials who have sworn to uphold it saying such blatantly incorrect nonsense.
