Can hardly believe it's been 7 years. There seem to be so many more search and rescue dogs now then there were then. I wonder if because of seeing them at Ground Zero, more people wanted to get involved.
God bless these beautiful animals for all they do!They had no protective gear...they had no protection for paws or anything else. They still did their jobs till they were exhausted and still kept going. They are true heroes in my eyes!
Thanks for including my SAR K9 Bear. He was buried as a New York Firefighter and there is a memorial to him at the FDNY/EMS Academy.
