Yeah the Tom Morello solo for this songs sounds like a cat getting fucked in the ass. literally. He has cool solo's but for just Original Fire he really fucked. This Acoustic version has a more badass groove like when Johnny Cash did Rusty Cage

Yeah, these stripped sessions sound great, and give optimism for Cornell's next solo CD, but let's be realistic: he can't even hit notes he recorded four years ago. His vocals get worse and worse with every album. Not smoking? Great. But it's too late for him ever to approach what he once was. The list of modern singers I would put over Cornell right now is as long as a roll of toilet paper. Because he can't yell worth shit anymore.

Oh yes, since his rehab experience his voice has been getting progressively better. People don't realize how much "dryer" the production on his voice is now then it was in the Soundgarden days. All those effects made things sound A LOT different as well. Delay and Reverb - the vocalists best friend.

Best vocalist in rock today, no question.
