I love this song after a good bit of prayer. I usually open up with something more upbeat, but after a bit of praise (how we enter into his presence) - I desire to transition to relationship prayer. I find it very easy to segue from praise to worship and real relationship oriented prayer with this song playing in the background. I love it. In my church someone often sings this during prayer service
I heard this song first in my churches youth group. the whole time it felt like my soul was crying these words to God and I broke down in tears. It's so beautiful.
I remember my first revival at my church here in Sacramento, when my other fellow church from Stockton came and played this song on stage, it was my first time when i poured myself out to God after being away from him for so long. God Bless You!

This is so beautiful, and when I went to a youth group and they sang this song, I felt so at peace and amazing. I felt God put words on my heart, and during the song, I sat down and started writing them down, and out came a part of a song, and it keeps going through my mind. It's about how overwhelming God is! I can never get enough, though. <3

This song helps soo much right now in my time of need. I was engaged. He promised to marry me, and he broke his promise :( I feel so broken hearted right now. To know someone said they'd love me forever but so easily their love broke away. I feel so neglected and ignored. That overwhelming love I once felt for him dissapeared so quickly. @josiejss I've been right where you are. It has since been over a year and a half and God used the situation to bring me closer to Him. God can use any situation and use it to bring Him glory. I pray that He will heal your heart. People will hurt you and turn their back on you time and time again but God will never fail you. I feel your hurt even though I do not know you and my heart breaks for yours. Keep your eyes focused on Jesus and He will show you real love. His love never fails.

@hemet92544 In the sense that we want to "sit at his feet", it's just saying "Lord, be with me" just asking Jesus to build the relationship we already share with Jesus, stronger. It's saying "Lord, I want to be closer to you" :) No matter what way we interpret the lyrics, we are all God's children and he loves us all the same.
This actually isn't Kari singing this song, this is the other blond girl who sings with Gateway Worship..She also sings Save me on their Wake the up the world DVD..I did get to meet Kari last year in OKC, so awesome! She's great!

He is deffinately not "fictional" i have personally felt the power of his love and i strive to send it out. Plus usually what happens is people do something to bring bad things to them and blame God for it. And you dont have to limit your life. it is an amazing life and very fulfilling life to serve God.

I lived 28 yrs of so called fun, but never knew what real freedom felt like till he turned my life from 13 yrs. of drug addiction instantly. This song helps soo much right now in my time of need. I was engaged. He promised to marry me, and he broke his promise :( I feel so broken hearted right now. To know someone said they'd love me forever but so easily their love broke away. I feel so neglected and ignored. That overwhelming love I once felt for him dissapeared so quickly. @josiejss I've been right where you are. It has since been over a year and a half and God used the situation to bring me closer to Him. God can use any situation and use it to bring Him glory. I pray that He will heal your heart. People will hurt you and turn their back on you time and time again but God will never fail you. I feel your hurt even though I do not know you and my heart breaks for yours. Keep your eyes focused on Jesus and He will show you real love. His love never fails.

"Lay back against you and breathe" and "sit at your feet" don't really correspond. I hope Kari hasn't reduced the love that our Lord Jesus has given us to an earthly physical (eros) love with the 1st statement. Because it really isn't. Just my thoughts, I could be wrong.

@hemet92544 In the sense that we want to "sit at his feet", it's just saying "Lord, be with me" just asking Jesus to build the relationship we already share with Jesus, stronger. It's saying "Lord, I want to be closer to you" :) No matter what way we interpret the lyrics, we are all God's children and he loves us all the same.
