Thanks so much for posting this. I want to post more of "Blow Your Face Out" but I don't know how. Posting video is easy, music alone is hard, at least for me. :)
There's a song from this album called "Chimes", this live version is by far the best, I have to figure out how to post it.
This song reminds me of my ex-girlfriend Rosemary who introduced me to the J. Geils Band in the late 1970s. Rosemary died in a motorcycle accident. I miss you Rosemary.
THANK YOU! I too noticed that this version was NOT on YouTube. Now I can play it on my 'smartphone' whenever I want. BTW: I play (guitar) and sing this version myself. Took a long time to get all the intro and words right, but I'm there now.
This song is soundtrack of being stuck in the car with your dad (who is listening to WZLX) and this comes on and you're like, "wow, maybe all my dad's music doesn't suck..."
@PoliticalByline They attended WPI, however, Worcester's only 30 miles from Boston, in the zone of the Red Sox, Celtics, & Bruins main fan base.
Thus, Worcester, Lowell, Salem, & Brockton are included in the ex-burb greater Boston area. Sorry, they need to move out to Northampton/Springfield to get their own region.
@PoliticalByline yep cheer Boston! but definately adoped by Detroit their 2nd hometown...I remember they'd come here for a full week and sell out every show way before they were popular on the radio
Haha, I love this song. Especially the insane intro he pulls off. BTW, anyone else here kinda dislike their material from the 80s? I mean it's not like Centerfold or Love Stinks are the worst songs of theirs, but compared to really pleasant sounding songs like these, to hear them go fully commercial when the next decade came around is painful.
"with intro"? how could you EVER think of listening to Musta Got Lost withOUT intro...thanks! I bought the Blow Your Face Out Live 8 track when I 16...
rap can't compare to this. ever. true R and B revival sound and performance along the lines of The blues brothers, stones, james brown. classic white-boy soul!

OMG! I was there SAT.8-21-10 at PINE KNOB and saw the GREATEST SHOW that I have EVER SEEN they came back after the house lights went on and OMG OMG OMG!!! this was the first time I ever got to see J Geils, what a treat! ,came from Cali. for this one took my 2 sons too,, grew up outside the big "D", so glad they chose Detroit . so glad I had pavilion seats AWESOME, Thank you Peter Wolf & the J Geils Band for such great music, and a fabulous concert I will not ever forget.
Open the door bitch! Its wooba gooba with the green teeth!!! God I love being from Detroit and being able to say some of the greatest band of all time are from here including this great band!!!!
OK, imagine this. Marching band. This is the opener. The drum majors shout this as loud as they can to the audience. And once the drum major's are done shouting, the band comes in and starts playing. That would be EPIC.
Thank you, These guy's rock, they were thee best live concert around !! I saw them in concert several times and they blew the roof off each and every time!! I was lucky enough to catch them In Detroit (Rock City)
What a show those guys put on, they truly kicked ass live !!
I saw these guys twice. I would love to see em again. The absolute best show on stage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Musta got lost is still my all time favorite. The kids today dont have a clue about what good music is.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!! Excellent, AWESOME song. LOVE the intro. Man, I haven't heard this song in YEARS. J Geils band ROCKS!!! Hey reputa lebuta, love that. Funny. Why can't they have cool, smokin rock bands like this nowadays? Thanks again for this post.
