I find it really awesome when the pitch changes.

The only thing music can possibly do to you is give headaches from the high frequencies.

In Red/Blue you meet your rival here, when you battle him he no longer has his Raticate which he did before (and you defeated), the story goes something like he didn't get to a PC in time. Your rival asks if you know that Pokemon can die, thus implying that he was putting his Raticate to rest.
