If people take the position that there are militarists and peaceful voices on BOTH sides, then neither side is evil and neither side is good.

the soldier who did it will get a light punishment, the officer who told him to do it would most likely lose his job and go to prison and the officer above him got a severe warning for trying to cover this up.
