it is such a treat to hear a master (and i do mean master) classical pianist who has submerged himself in chopin and beethoven play very jazzy american music, and when it is treated as classical, wow the effect! imagine him playing Scott Joplin!

Not sure - I actually downloaded the video from someone else and then reuploaded when they took it down. I think it's Tokyo and looks pretty recent - between 10 and 3 years ago, I would guess.

Probably this didn´t happen in USA, which decided to explode Zimerman's piano that time.

He certainly received an awful lot of applause after each prelude. Isn't it customary to withhold applause until all three Gershwin preludes (typically performed together, as a set) are performed? Or perhaps Zimerman simply played the first prelude as an encore piece -- and then returned to play the second as another encore?
