luckily i live in a democratic country with socialist overtones. there is no elitism when it comes to the right to a healthy life. all uk citizens are presumed equal and therefore we are afforded the same rights. wealth does not make you a better person in the uk.
we are and have been for along time just numbers and credit histories to the govt. we are all stamped with a social security number that can never change from cradle to grave. id rather be a number who is living than a number that died from lack of healthcare.
i think people are being given the wrong info on the new healthcare in america. i know its very long but i do ask that folks read the bill before being scared of it. good luck with stuff and im glad you are providing yourself the reasonableness of seeing pros and cons.
