  • Thank you for this beautiful, moving tribute to the dogs who bring such love and meaning to our lives. My Harlequin Great Dane mix Winston is getting "long in the tooth," as you say, and this video is helping me face my next "dog passage."

  • We just watched Dog Passages again...

We LOVE it!!!!!!! Candy, Emiley and Courtland (the grandgirls 11 & 10).

  • What a lovely tribute to the sweetest things that ever happened to me - my dogs. Thank you for being a fellow dog-lover and for writing such a beautiful song!

  • Wow, Mark. I thought the song made me cry before. The video left me in a puddle..of tears. You got me, sweetie. Dear thoughts of you and all 'kids.'

    Candy xoox

  • Hey Mark, I immediately thought of Coco! Showed the clip to my 11 yr. old son Dylan who verbally tells his two dogs "I love you" at bed time, he loved the video as well. So true, good work! Foam Cowboys hats for all dogs...Mike T.

  • Dear Shadepuppy,

Thank you for sharing my feelings- All my best, Mark Winkler

  • I've also marked my "place in time" by the lives and passing of each of my companion animals. Thank you for creating music for our feelings.

  • As I now sit here with tears falling, I too look back on my life, and all of my dogs that have gone before me leaving such a sadness and void in my heart. I too know about dog passages. When my dog Shoggy Nevis passed away in my arms, a bit of me died also. Thanks for the beautiful song and lovely pictures. It really brings me back to reality, about what Really Is Important in life.

  • Dear Blkscotty,

Losing our pets is so hard, but the memories they give are worth it. I lost one of my first dogs in my arms, a little grey poodle Gaby, and I'll never forget it.

Thanks for the lovely comments- Mark Winkler

  • Stupid video...made me cry. As soon as the video started playing my dog ran in the room and started barking at the computer. Weird since there isn't any barking in the piece.

  • Dear Vidominick,

I think your dog is onto something. Thanks for the comment

    Best, Mark Winkler

  • Oh, Mark! What a wonderfully sad tribute. I cried from the first moment I started watching. Your video has made it's way to the coveted "dog lists" of the web and is circulating it's way into the hearts of several right now. Thank you for putting into words, music, and film the expression of love that only a dog lover would know. Good luck with the musical. May St. Francis watch over your furry kids.

  • Dear Dicorydox,

Thanks for sending this out to your dog friends! The response has been just great. All my best, Mark Winkler

  • This is a song I co-wrote for the musical review TOO OLD FOR THE CHORUS which is opening Sept. 28th at the La Mirada Theatre. It's about growing older in an age obsessed society. When I was thinking of songs for the musical it occured to me that I judged the

passing of the years by the dogs I've had. The last four dogs in the video and a few sprinkled throughout are my babies both alive and gone. This film was done by my pal

Mark Wolfram and was co-written by the

    fantastic Shelly Markham.

  • I can't begin to thank you enough for this beautiful piece! You truly do understand how much of an impact these wonderful furkids have on us. I almost didn't have enough Kleenex, even tho' I was warned to have it ready! Thank you so much, Mark and hugs, chin skootches and belly rubs to all your furkids!

  • Dear Leandraplyr,

Thanks so much for you lovely comments on my song Dog

    Passages. Best, Mark Winkler
