  • waste of batteries... but kinda cool

  • hey men could you tell me the materials and said mi which kind of coil did you use?..

  • @UnlimitedLinux You can use a resin coated copper wire.

You also need a battery, paperclips and a magnet.

  • realy easy :D !

  • does it go just about forever or will the battery die evetually

  • can i use a coppet wire? yes or no?

  • easy and smart idea,

  • Woa You Made It Look So Easy!!!

  • thats very clever

  • aswime!!!

  • simple and good job

  • Hello nesecito to know since(as,like) all the materials are called please say them to me already the one that it(he,she) knows

  • nada veeh

  • that is cool you should make a billion and build a car!!!

  • that would fail it would be to heavy

  • Superb video! well done!

  • Nice, thanks for posting..

  • are those shelf suporters?

  • Yes, he said at the beginning of the video, "put one of the shlef supports on the magnet."

  • could i use this to power a pulley system???

  • is it done with any magnet or a special magnet ???

  • is that magnetic copper wire? or not.

  • It's coated magnet wire, not magnetic wire.

  • Because the wire is in a circular shape, and because electrons are running through it, it creates a magnetic field. Put out simply, it becomes a magnet.

  • Nice and simly,,,

  • that is cool

  • Very nice.

  • say if you wanted to make a bigger one....

What would you use to replace the magnet wire?

  • life saver!

  • thats save alot of time than the other vids

  • Thanks a lot, you just helped me with a school proyect =)

  • what kind of wire did you use to make the loop a magnetic wire? can you use a copper wire??????

how does the paper clip stick to the battery ??

  • its all held to gether by magnetism. Also would a regular electric motor go faster with neodymium magnets?

  • wuiiiii muy bonito, 5 estrellitas pa ti!!!! voy a hacerme uno de esos!!!

  • what kind of wire did you use to make the loop a magnetic wire? can you use a copper wire??????

  • You have to use special coated magnet wire. The coating is an insulator. When you make the loop, you scrape parts of it off to serve as a built-in commutator.

  • @bflogan can u explain why just plain old copper wire wont do

is it the interation between the loops?

  • does anyone know how i can calculate the Rotation Per Minute on a beakman's motor?

  • @ tuesday1393

Record its sound with microphme/mic of your computer.

open this file in an audio editor s/w which plots graph of the sound vs time (like Audacity) ,count equal amplitudes "max" or "MIN" for 60 seconds and yes this is needed :RPM

  • thanks i need that info for my science project thanks!

  • DURACELL !!!

  • Very Cool!

    Thank You!

  • You really make it simple., thanks for sharing. God bless you

  • how do you make those little coils? Is it all one piece of copper wire from one side over to the other?

  • You can find instructions on making the coil by searching the Internet for "beakman motor".

  • awesome

  • wheres the commutator??

  • what are u talking about

  • The wire itself act as 50% duty cycle commutator by stripping insulator only halfway across the circumference of the wire.

    I guess.

  • WOW!...That's neat!
