@Thatbeat1974 I totally agree about Devotion & Doubt. But this song is from Bloomed. Buckner may be the most underrated songwriter I can think of. Not the kind of music you can pigeon hole and market, but that just makes me appreciate it all the more.
The moment i heard his playing, I instantly became addicted. It IS whiskey soaked country. Blues as shit but not country and not rock in their intireities. He cool shit
arresting... saw him in santa monica years ago, and he killed it... encouraging that thenew stuff (meadow, etc.) is so fing good... thanks for this posting.
Hey thanks for this! I first met in in Bellingham, WA when he was writing the Devotion + Doubt album. Had a few beers with him and another friend in the 3B Tavern and had no idea that he was in the process of writing an amazing album at that time!
Buckner has been an inspiration to me for over a decade. Met him twice. Really nice guy. One of the best lyricists out there. Thanks for a great video!!
hey,i have realy strong memories.year 1998,israel.that was first time I hear this song..jane klein from new york, she tape for me...Jane,try to find you 12.years.kamil from prague...
Buckner headlined this singer/songwriter festival in Sweden a few years ago. The night before all his equipment had been stolen from his hotel room in Norway so he was kind of messed up on alcohol and anger. The concert was great!!
This clip is not from Sweden, I just wrote "This singer/songrwiter festival" as an expression like "this singer/songwriter festival thing".. Sorry for beeing a little blurry!
i drove 8 hours to see richard last year, he was unbelievable, had beers with the crowd after, he binds his songs together into this hour long musical autobiography, blown away, go buckner!
I met this guy years ago...1994 or so.....before a show..and WOW. What a hell of a musician....nice person.....what can I say...if you can see him DO.
Two people (dislikes) need to pull their heads out!!!
