I actually have this camera and it's been great for me. I've had it for about a year now. It still works just as well as the first day I recieved it, but I do have one complaint. I don't know if it's just my camera or all of the canon powershot A1000's, but when it's in movie mode, it records all voices strangely, giving everyone a lisp. Again, not sure if it's just my camera that does it, but you may want to look into it before buying this camera. I would actually recommend the sony cybershot.

I might be buying this camera off of a friend of mine in the near future. He bought his at school, but pink was the only color available and he's sick of having a pink camera haha. I have this camera. It takes excellent photos and outstanding video for the price. The audio isnt the best but then again its not a camcorder its a camera. so... All in all an overall good out of the box very easy to use point and shoot camera.

nikon is a better dicision, because they are top of the line, in quality, and and impecable efficience record, the only thing that's wrong with a nikon is they are hard to use because of the way their functions and instruction booklets are designed.

This camera is pure JUNK. The low light and indoor shots are VERY noisy due to canon stupidly packing 10p in a tiny sensor. On top of that canon stripped all controls from it. Its a joke.

This camera has no M, Av, or Tv modes, plus you cant even use a tube adapter, it's a HUGE step down from an A720IS, even from a 590IS.

I got this camera today in brown/champagne. I love it! So many features and easy to use/understand! You only get 11 Pictures with the 32mb card but about 800 with a 1gb card(at 10 megapixels)
