lets just say this little girl is a braves fan i have three little girls and all of them will be raied the same way. braves win braves win is right behind hanks record breaking hr i think even though we lost the series the braves have had the most memorable playes ever in history game 7 ws vs twins and of course 1992 nlcs i was 14 and everytime i here it chills run up and down my spine braves win braves win.mets suck mets suck.
Leave us alone in Atlanta!!! My God - we suffered from 1965 until 1990 - in last place or next to last place EVERY YEAR - and we got the Falcons too - there chant is "At least we don't loose 100 games a year!!" Let us enjoy our streak (1991 - 2005 - 5 World Series - 14 Division Championships). It is our only time in the sun - let us enjoy it!! Now that Liberty owns the Braves and not Time-Warner - maybe the magic will come back again!! Leave us be!
The reason the media doesn't comment this play that much is because Mr Bonds demonstrates in a definite way that he cannot be truly considered among the best because the best perform their best under pressure and Barry simply can't do that, not even with all the steroids in the world. By the way, this is a lousy video. PUT THE REAL THING THERE?
It wasn't that great. Today, Sports Center had it's 30,000 episode special and they didn't even mention it. It's only a great play to the Braves fans since they didn't even win the World Series that year and only had one World Series win in 13 straight playoff seasons.
Of course they don't mention it. Barry shows how bad he is when he couldn't throw out Bream from right behind shortstop. He just can't perform under pressure. But the media is always exalting Bonds and he looks very bad here.
And the Braves were just beginning one of the best franchise eras in history, while the Pirates were beginning one of the most pathetic 14 years + stretches of all time that would make even the Cincinnati Bengals jealous. Baseball hasn't existed in Pittsburgh since this play.
there are the Blls of the 90s, the Yankees of the 50s and laste 90s, the Celtics with their15 straight, the Cowboys, the Patriots, the Oilers of the 80s, the Islanders of the early 80s, the Canadiens of the 70s...the Braves just choked in the playoffs a lot
I remember this game like yesterday. I always liked Sid Bream - he was a good guy all around. And the look on Andy Van Slyke's face after that run scored was priceless.
man am i glad i wasnt on acid when i watched this...

Does anyone know where I can get the video from the 1999 NLCS when Andruw got a walk off walk to win it against the Mets in Atlanta?
