Acoustic guitars have 6 steel strings, an classical has the lower 3 strings made of steel- and the upper 3 made of nylon.

@shell0shuck The strings ARE the difference. Steel vs Nylon. Nylon = Classical. I do believe there are different tunings available for each also, but most stick with standard guitar tuning using either type.

great job on the arrangement man.

i know you said its a basic melody, but im going to critique you a bit anyways, its all constructive though.

at :32 and 1:00 where it hits the high notes, it really calls for a bass note as well, only because the pattern for the rest establishes it as kinda a precident, so with out on it sounds almost anti climatic, even though its the climax of the melody.

other than that,you should record it over and over, untill you hit it perfect before uploading.

@jacobsmith031 also, just a note about your hand positions, im not sure if you realize or not, but when youre playing the bass notes, your entire hands moves some with your thumb, and keep that left thumb in the middle of the back of the neck, i know its uncomfortable, but it will help you to make sure all of those notes come out well, especially when playing chords (but i know thats when its hardest)

it has no pick guard, the body meets the 12th fret both below and above the neck, and nut is cut to better space the nylon strings to allow classical finger picking style to be easier.

i mean i could go through the all the facts of why that is a classical guitar, but for the sake of ease, why dont you try to explain to the knowledgable world why it isnt?

@Bralor1337 wrong... as any historian would know classical guitars if any of you knew that the origins of the guitar go well back in time beyond the invention of nylon. they used solid steel strings, instead of coiled steel for the higher gauge strings they would just use a slightly higher gauge of wire.

The biggest differences (apart from string types being Steel for standard acoustics or Nylon for classical guitars) is the bridge, body (usually an even 8 shape for classicals and a lopsided 8 shape with standard acoustics) and the headstocks, not to mention classicals naturally (on average) have fewer frets+wider fret boards and the neck will usually join the body at the 12th fret, while on a standard acoustic it will connect on the 14th fret. Age doesn't really have a thing to do with it
